Question: why do we need feminism?

Answers:

1) We need feminism because Female Genital Mutilation is still being practiced in over 29 countries.

2) We need feminism because more than 120 countries don't have laws against marital rape, and still allow child brides- some as young as 6 years old.

3) We need feminism because the worst name you can calm a boy, is a 'girl' or 'bitch'.

4) We need feminism because 1 in 4 women are being sexually assaulted.

5) We need feminism because a man should not feel emasculated by being a nurse.

6) We need feminism because people still ask what the victim was wearing.

7) We need feminism because some people would rather their daughters be pretty than clever.

8) We need feminism because women's magazines are still all about pleasing men.

9) We need feminism because JK Rowling, amazingly successful author of the Harry Potter series, was advised to use her initials instead of her full name so that her books might sell to a wider market, mainly, to boys, who, presumably would not have read something written by a female.

10) We need feminism because school's don't teach students about Susan B. Anthony or other known feminists. They don't teach their students about Hypatia (the first known female mathematician) who was stoned to death by a group of Christian men.

THIS IS NOT A PERSONAL ISSUE. IT IS A GLOBAL HUMAN ISSUE.
