Jungkook's P.O.V

The next few days passed in a blur of meetings and work, but something about that encounter with Eunbi's mother, Y/N, lingered in my mind. There was something about her easy smile and the way she made Junghyun feel so comfortable that I couldn't shake off. We hadn't exchanged any personal details, but her kindness had left an impression on me.

Today, I was finishing up a meeting when I decided to take a walk to clear my head. It was a rare moment of peace, and I needed it. I walked through the bustling streets, my mind running through the business proposal I had just discussed. As I rounded the corner, I nearly collided with someone.

"Sorry," I muttered, taking a step back to avoid the impact.

And there she was. Y/N. Standing right in front of me, looking just as surprised as I was.

"Oh! Mr. Jeon," she said, her voice light with an unexpected warmth. "Fancy seeing you here."

I was caught off guard, not expecting to run into her again, especially not on the street like this. "Y/N, right?" I asked, trying to hide the slight surprise in my voice.

"Yes, that's me," she replied, her smile softening as she glanced at me, her eyes momentarily darting away as if she too hadn't expected this.

I nodded. "Small world," I added, unsure of how to continue.

She laughed softly, a little awkwardly, and I realized she was probably just as thrown off by the encounter as I was.

"So," she began, adjusting the strap of her bag. "I didn't expect to run into you here of all places. I just finished a meeting around the corner."

"Same here," I replied. "Business stuff." I didn't know why, but I felt a little nervous talking to her, even though we'd only met once before.

We both fell into a brief, somewhat awkward silence. I wanted to say something, anything to keep the conversation going, but it felt a bit strange. I hadn't expected to see her again, much less like this.

"So," she said after a moment, her eyes lighting up again with that familiar warmth. "How's Junghyun doing? He's been talking about Eunbi nonstop ever since that ice cream trip."

A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips. "He's good. He's been... very excited about ice cream ever since."

She laughed, the sound making me feel more at ease. "Well, I'm glad they had fun. Eunbi was so happy to have Junghyun around that day. You're a good dad for bringing them both there."

I shifted on my feet, feeling a little bashful. "Ah, well, it was nothing. They seemed to really enjoy it."

She nodded, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. "It's nice, seeing good dads around. It's rare."

Her words caught me off guard, and I found myself staring at her for a moment longer than I probably should have. "Well, I try my best," I said, forcing myself to sound casual.

There was another brief pause, and I could sense that neither of us was sure how to end this unexpected interaction. But before I could say anything more, she spoke again, her voice almost shy.

"Well, it was nice seeing you again. Maybe we'll run into each other more often now," she said, offering me a polite smile.

"Yeah," I said, trying to sound nonchalant, but there was something about the way she said it that made me feel like there was more to this chance encounter. "Take care, Y/N."

"Take care, Mr. Jeon," she said, before turning and walking away, her steps light and easy.

I watched her for a moment, wondering what this meeting meant, or if it meant anything at all. But one thing was certain meeting her like this, out of the blue, made me feel something I couldn't quite place.

Maybe this wasn't just a coincidence.
