You nodded, smiling a little, and walked out of the classroom.

"I wasn't lying. Though, it was hard to admit, I think I do like him. I kind of have in after two blows, so I didn't really fight admitting it, like I usually would. Mr. Pho may be lucky, but I'm not. I don't want to meet with father again. He's the reason I don't find home comforting, like most people do...maybe I should just give up...maybe I shouldn't. I wonder what Shoto would think of I gave up on fighting my father for my freedom..." you thought, as you heard soft, quiet footsteps behind you and turned around to see Shoto following closely behind you.

Shoto waved a little, a ghost of a smile on his face. He had quite a happy aura, something he wouldn't usually have. "Y/N...I feel different towards her. She makes my heart flutter when I'm around her. Should I tell her? No, not yet. I don't know her very well, so she might it weird if I told her that I loved her this early, but I've never felt like this. Never. I wonder, what does it mean? Do I really love her, or is my mind tricking me, when I only love the idea of her?...I guess I'll find out at some point."

You smile softly and continued to walk, letting him follow until he got to me side.

"What'd you think of class?" Shoto asked, his smile growing a bit.

"Hm. It was a bit boring. All we did was talk about the hero laws. I mean, some of them were kind of funny, so, I guess, it made it interesting," you replied.

"True. Maybe..tomorrows' lesson will be more interesting? Maybe not?" Shoto inquired.

"Maybe. I guess we'll find out."

He nodded in agreement. "I guess we will."

You hesitated to ask a question of which you fear, your skin turning pale as you notice the bold, male figure at the end of the hallway. "F-father? What are you doing here?" you asked, in a shaky, strained voice.

Your father, Tsā, growled as he clenched his fists and pointed at you. "Don't come home! If I see you anywhere around the house, you'll be in trouble, understand?" he asked angrily. "I'm bringing some dangerous friends over and I can't have them doing anything to get you off your mind set for training."

You nodded. "Y-yes, sir!" Deep down, you were happy he hasn't dragged you out of the place and yelled at you for not being home earlier, since the teacher called you over after class, you stayed a little later.

Shoto seemed taken back a little, surprised. "Was that your dad?" he asked, watching the grumpy Tsā walk away.

You sighed, nodding. "Yeah, though, you could barely call him father figure at all. When he's not around, I refer to him as his real name, Tsā, or Mr. Hyatt."

Shoto let a small hum escaped his lips as he thought, "She doesn't seem to have the ideal relationship with her father- Tsā. He's stupid if he's anything like my father, to treat such an angelic women in such horrible ways- what did I just say!?"

You looked up at him to see his confused and surprised expression, his cheeks painted red. "Are you okay, Shoto?" you ask out of curiosity.

Shoto straightened his posture a bit, his blush darkening. "Yeah, I'm fine," he answered.

You giggled a little. "How come I'm being so nice? If that one kid saw how I was acting right now, he'd probably think Shoto and I were dating or that we're good friends. What was his name again? Denki, I think?" "Hey, since I don't have to go home, so you want to go to the library with me? We can practice for that history test."

Shoto thought for a second, the blush gradually fading. "Sure. I don't have anything to do today, and I didn't really understand a few of those laws. I know they'll ask something about why we have those laws." "I just thought of something; does she know who my father is?"

You smiled. "Alright, c'mon! We only have three hours until they close!" You started running the hallway.

"Eh!? Hey, wait up!" Shoto yelled after you, following behind.

You both used your quirks to get there in some way, arriving soon, at the same time.

You laughed as you came to a stop; he did the same. "Maybe we should race later, too," you offered.

"Yeah, after the library closes, we can race to the park. It's not too far from here," he said, a smile forming in his lips again.

"Yeah!" You walked into the library and smiled at the librarian politely. "So, I'm nicer when I'm around him, huh? That's weird.."

The librarian smiled back.

Shoto didn't smile at anyone, but you, seeming to enjoy looking at your smile.

You noticed that he was looking at you and glanced back at him, your cheeks red, and walked over to a table, soon sitting down in a chair.

"Y/N? Where are you going to stay if you can't go home?" Shoto asked as he sat down his books and say next to you.

You thought for a second. "I could...probably stay at my brothers' place. He's pretty open and his house is big, so he shouldn't mind if I stayed there for the night."

Shoto sighed of relief. "Hopefully her brother isn't like mine.."

"Are you okay, Shoto?" you asked, noticing the concerned look on his face.

"Yes, I'm fine. Let's just start studying, shall we?"

You nodded, a small smile forming on your lips. "Okay, so which laws did you not understand?"

Shoto pointed out a few.

And you explained. - - "Does that make any more sense?"

"Yeah, it does actually. You're pretty good at explaining things, Y/N." He smiled sweetly. "I think that was it."

His bright smile caused you to blush. "O-okay," you stuttered.

"We should just go over the books and read the stuff we highlighted in class."

You took a deep breathe. "He's so much more than I would expect him to be. I guess I was wrong; not all men are the same."

"You made me my perspective on things, Y/N. I feel...different, when I'm around you. I..I think-"

"I like you!" you said suddenly before slapping you hand over your mouth.

Shotos' eyes widened, a wide smile forming across his face. He chuckled, cupping his face in his hands. "I-" He was cut off by his own laughter. "That didn't go as planned, did it?" He laughed again. "I like you, too. More like, I love you. I feel like you've changed me." He leaned closer and kissed your cheek gently.

You were too 'caught up in the moment' to be how you would usually be; to be your usual cold, push-away-self. You didn't push him away, like you would usually do, you didn't even move. You just sat there, feeling your face burn helplessly.

Shoto pulled back and saw your flustered, embarrassed expression. "How cute."
