Hey, so i wrote this for my english assignment.

It's shit, but i had no stories up and it kinda made me look lame. This will probably make it worse though, ahah.

So yeah...

Tora is a changeling. She has lived her whole life in the human world but is now craving revenge. Revenge on her mother. Her mother is the queen of the feary realm. When Tora was born, her mother gave her away to a human family because her mother wanted a male to carry on the family crown. Tora, with her extrodinary memory will not let her mother get away with this. What will she do to get back at her mother?

"DING DONG! DING DONG! DING DONG!" the doorbell went off repeatedly, demanding for my haste. "COME ON TORA!" says a manly voice from outside the door.

Though, I take my time. Nobody, and I mean nobody, pushes me around. I finish with my make-up and walk into the kitchen to grab my bag and an apple to eat on the way. Sauntering out the door, I pull my red hair into a messy top knot.

Today is the day. The day, my life will change. For the best, that is.

"Oh wow, is that a beard I feel!" says Trey sarcastically rubbing his chin, which shows no signs of a beard at all. Trey has blonde dishevelled hair, piercing green eyes and is at least a foot taller than me with a muscular body. He was like the man in every girl's dream. But mine.

We get into Trey's truck and drive to the woods. The radio blaring and us listening silently, being left to our own thoughts. Well, in Trey's case, him singing while I listen. Bad choice, I should have brought ear plugs.

I still haven't told you about my life. Where to start...?

Um, I am a changeling. It is a name given to a faery child when swapped with a prettier human child. The mother of the faery takes the human child and uses him or her as a slave. Though, my case is different. I am still a changeling, though I am much prettier. I am a princess. Or I was, until my mother abandoned me because she would rather a boy. Yes, sexist isn't she. So, she replaced a human's baby with me. Don't worry; the human parents didn't even realise. Their child had died, but they had not been told the news yet. So, away they went with a smart, temper ridden, evil plotting baby girl.

I would never forgive my mother for that. I don't mind the human world, it has all my friends but I would rather be in the faery realm to plot against my mother. That is what I am doing today. Trey, being the wonderful friend he is, is driving me to the edge of the woods. He can't come any further than that because he is human. Plus, he mustn't know what I'm up to.

We arrive and I confidently step out of the ute. I can do this. I know I can.

I saw the slight shimmer at the entry of the woods and knew exactly what it was. It's now or never Tora. I wave goodbye to Trey as he reverses out of the parking lot and I took a few hesitant steps towards the opening.

I felt a pull as I neared, telling me to hurry. I step through the portal and gasp as I stare in awe.

It was beautiful! Never, have I seen anything like it. There are adorable little animals running every which way, elves and faeries harvesting crops, families taking strolls, flowers lining the grass, and tall trees reaching towards the clear sky. Everything looks normal. As in human normal, though everything has a slight glimmer to it, telling me that this world is made witth magic.

As I stride confidently towards the town centre, heads turn knowingly in my direction.

"Good morning Princess," says a handsome young man. He looks to be about my age, 17. He is wearing normal human clothes, but again with a glimmer.

I keep walking, ignoring his greeting. Though, I am somewhat surprised as to how he knows who I am.

I hear footsteps behind me and turn around, expecting it to be palace guards. I stop my insults when I see who it is. Though, it doesn't stop the scowl from forming on my lips.

"Hello sweetie," says my mother. Oh, how that ticks me off. She has no right to call me that!

I don't reply, instead I just glare. I scrutinize her, looking for signs of hatred, smugness or even love! Just anything. But she keeps a straight face and examines me like I am a science experiment.

"Mother," I say flatly, just like her look.

"Guards, take her to the dungeon! She has no right to be here," says my mother, a smirk forming on her face.

I struggle in the guards grips, trying as hard as I can to escape. I feel a sharp pain to the crown of my head and my vision turns to black.

I wake up in a dark, musty and humid place. I feel around me for any clue as to where I am. Hay and concrete is all I feel. What is this, the medieval times? I blink a few times so my sight adjusts, though what I see is not what I expected.

"We must get you out of here!" says the handsome young man from this morning. He pulls a set of keys from his pocket, looks around and then jiggles them into the lock.

"Click" I'm free! I jump up at lightning speed and head towards the cell door.

"Princess, wait! There are millions of guards outside. You're mother wants to make sure it is absolutely impossible for you to escape," he says it so sincerely, I have to believe him.

"Not so fast, daughter," she says daughter with such vehemence that I can't stop the prickles from running down my spine.

I snatch the keys from the young man and lunge towards my mother with speed I didn't even know I possessed, hoping to kill her with a set of keys, ha. Though, I was too slow. My mother pointed her finger towards me and I stopped mid-air. How could I forget? She has magic. I struggle against the invisible force with no luck.

"Guards, seize him! He tried to help my daughter escape, he has no place in our community anymore," my mother says, looking down at him.

For some unknown reason I get a feeling to protect him. I step in front of him with my arms outstretched. A bulky guard, dressed in grey and black comes striding towards me. I stand my ground; I want to prove to my mother that I am worth something.

"Move," says the guard's booming voice. I don't move. He pulls out a long, shiny sword and before I can even blink, stabs me in the heart.

As my sight gets dimmer and dimmer, eventually turning completely black, I hear my mother's evil laugh, smugly watching my life drain away.
