My best friend next door (finished)

How it began

Y/n POV
I woke up to the sun shining in my eyes, I must have forgotten to close the curtains. I got up and looked out the window I saw a moving van outside the house next door and got very curious and nosey, so I went downstairs and said morning to my parents
Y/n:morning
Mum:morning
Dad:morning
Y/n:why is there a moving van next door
Mum:oh right we're getting new neighbors and I heard that the boy moving in is your age, mabey you could become friends
Y/n:yeah mabey
Mum:anyway we've invited them around for dinner later on so try to be welcoming to them
Y/n:ok i will
Mum:go and get changed now sweetie
Y/n: ok

Mingrui's pov
I was pretty nervous to be moving in but my parents told me there is a girl just a couple of months younger than me living right next door so that made me feel a bit better I just hope we would get along

Y/n pov
I went outside to walk my dog Charlie then I looked over to the new neighbors house and I saw the boy that my mum told me about, he had fluffy black hair, beautiful brown eyes and the rosiest lips. I thought I would go over and say hi so i walked over with Charlie and went up to him
Y/n:hi, I'm y/n I live just next door, what's your name
Mingrui:Oh hi there, I'm Mingrui you have a very nice name
Y/n:thank you, so do you

I offered for him to come on a walk with me and Charlie and he kindly accepted. When we were walking we were talking about the most random things ever but then we remembered we had to go to dinner at my house so we ran home with Charlie and when we got there we could see his mum and dad walking Into my house. We walked in after them. Mingrui went to his parents and I went to get changed. I wore a white jumper a black skirt and a ponytail tied with a scrunchie (I know that there's boots and a bow on the photo but you don't really need them so)

After I got changed I went downstairs and sat down waiting for dinner me a Mingrui started to talk again and at one point in the conversation he said I looked really nice in my outfit and I blushed I could feel it I just have looked like a tomato.
Mingrui pov:
I just said y/n looked really nice, we just met what was I thinking but I gotta admit she looked very pretty. OMG she is blushing very hard she looks very cute when she is shy, Mingrui what are you saying you only just met the girl.

After dinner me and y/n went to her room, we were talking loads about each other and getting to know each other more but then I got shouted of to go home so we quickly exchanged phone numbers and I left.
