If it's a fight they want..

I'm so f*cking annoyed with Wattpad. It deleted everything I did originally with this chapter and I can't even get it back so I had to rewrite it from memory so this chapter is not its former glory

~Chapter 24~

"Virgil hasn't returned" Mackenzie said nervously

"Yes that is apparent" Logan said in response

"What if something happened?" She asked

Logan looked at her. She was a nervous wreck. He sighed

"Sunshine. If something happened then I'm sure he'll be fine. He's been through tougher" he explained to her

She sighed softly

Suddenly Roman appeared to them

"I can't get into the mind palace" he said urgently.

"What?!" Logan said, looking at him

"I can't get into the mind palace!" Roman repeated

Patton appeared to them too.

"I found this" he said, giving them a piece of paper

Logan read it aloud

"I know what you've been planning. I know what Virgil's done against me. So now if you want him to be back with you and safe then you're just going to have to take him back"

"Take him back?" Mackenzie said, her eyes widen.

"Deceit's done it... He's taken over the mind palace... We're going to have to fight" Roman said.

Kenzie's looked down.

In the mind palace, Virgil was still bound to a furniture post. He struggled.

"Try as you may Virgil. But you won't escape me... Oh we could've been great together but now... Well now it'll just be me... But you will get what you deserve.." Deceit said to him. Virgil growled.

Thomas ran up to the other sides.

"Guys.. I don't feel like myself.. it's like I'm conflicted in my own mind..." He said urgently

"That's because Deceit's taken over your mind. Us being here with you is slowing the process of him getting what he wants. But not entirely. As proven by you lying about where you were going yesterday" Logan replied

Thomas's eyes widened "what are we going to do?"

"We're going to fight back" Roman replied.

They all sank into Thomas's mind.

He looked around and gawked a bit. In front of them was a grand palace with towers and spires.

In the tallest tower was a balcony, occupied by a man, his cloak blowing in the wind.

Deceit.

"It's a literal palace" Thomas breathed

"Yes. Why else would we have called it that?" Logan asked

Deceit smiled as he watched them

"Well well... They seem to be willing to fight... Even the little bunny has come out to play" he said

Virgil's eyes widened "Kenzie..?" He breathed

Down below,

"First things first" Roman said, "proper attire"

The sides all protested as Roman snapped his fingers and their outfits changed to more medieval looks.

Logan's outfit changed into a long coat. He still wore his tie but it was much more old fashioned.

"Tasteful... But why is it necessary?" He asked

"Because it is" Roman replied

He looked around proudly.

Patton was now dressed like a commoner, his sweater now tied around his waist.

Roman's outfit had changed to one more common for a knight than a prince, his sash still on. His sword lain brandished at his side.

Thomas's had been changed into a long sleeve button down. On his head sat a golden crown

"Why do I have a crown?" He asked

"Well it's your mind palace. It's only natural for you to be the king. Stop criticizing my work!" Roman said

"Well I love it!" Kenzie said

She wore tight pants and a button down, loosely tucking into her pants. The sleeves were folded and buttoned at her elbow and she wore leather boots.

Her curls had been pulled back into a ponytail and she also had a sword attached to her belt.

She smiled as she looked at herself

"I'm glad you didn't go with traditional woman's clothing" she said

"Well you would not be able to fight very well in a skirt" Roman replied.

Deceit chuckled from his balcony perch.

"So they want to play dress up? Very well..." Deceit said. He snapped his fingers and he and Virgil were both put in medieval clothes as well.

His only really removed his hat while Virgil's had changed completely. He now wore a hooded cloak and a collared shirt.

He scowled.

"Please do not dress me." He said sarcastically.

Deceit merely chuckled.

"If it's a fight they want it's a fight they'll get" he said

He laughed evilly.

Virgil rolled his eyes

"Stop being so damn extra" he said

"I don't like you" Deceit spat at him
