Chapter 20

*HARLEY'S POV*

I can't believe that THAT just happened...

*two hours earlier*

Everyone is gathered discussing the whole "removing the stone from Vision's forehead" dealio, when a blip pops up on the screen Shuri is currently working on.

"What's that?" Natasha asks with concern, placing her hand on her nunchucks-staff.

"Wakanda is under attack." T'Challa says with a blank face as he gets his Black Panther suit.

"But don't you guys have a force field thing that disguises it to prevent these kind of things from happening?" Bruce questions.

"Yes. But they found it." T'Challa didn't have to elaborate any more. We knew exactly what he meant by 'they'. "Okoye, gather the others. We are going to need as many hands on deck as possible. Steve...go get your shield."

Steve nods. "Harley, you helping with this one? You can sit out I-"

I stood up. "What are we waiting for? Let's go kick some alien ass."

Everyone looked at me. "Come on, don't pretend you've never heard profanity before."

Everyone, well, assembles together and stands in front of the force field. Dog-looking aliens are breaking through the force field the best they can. As soon as they get halfway through, the barrier closes and splits them in half. They keep coming. More and more of them. They all spread out along the sides of the barrier.

"T'Challa, if they keep doing this...they're going to make their way all around the barrier..." Bucky tells him.

T'Challa nods and accesses his comms. "Okoye...open the east portion of the barrier."

A couple seconds later it opens.

"Wakanda forever!" Everyone yells and starts running towards the alien dogs, so I just follow suit.

It wasn't too difficult. I mainly just blasted them and made sure they didn't get to the tower. What made it so much more difficult is when they added these buzzsaw looking spaceships to the mix and more alien dogs.

"Where are they coming up with all these alien dogs?!" I ask through the comms.

"I don't know, but I'm pretty sure it's from the mother spaceship thing." Rhodey answers as I hear a blast come through the comms.

"Thor damn, can't we just destroy the mother ship then?!" I ask once again.

"It's too dangerous. Can't risk it." Sam answers, out of breath through the comms.

"And this isn't risking anything?!"

I get no answer. Of course.

I look over to where Natasha is. She is fighting with an alien lady. Probably one of the cHiLdReN oF tHaNoS. I start my way over to help her then I see Wanda appear and use her powers to throw the alien lady in front of the buzzsaw spaceship-weapons.

"Why has she been up there all this time?" Okoye raises her arms up and Natasha just shrugs.

"More and more are coming. We don't have enough reinforcements..." Bucky says through the comms.

"We have to keep going. We are too far in to stop now." Steve shoots back.

As if on cue, blue lightning and thunder fills the sky and the one and only Thor appears. It was as if the Immigrant song was playing.

He has a new weapon. An axe from the looks of it. He also has a raccoon? And a tree? On his shoulders?!

"Oh you guys are so screwed now-" Bruce laughs.

"BRING ME THANOS!" Thor roars.

He starts fighting off all the aliens. The raccoon gets a gun and starts fighting along the side of Bucky. The tree guys joins Steve.

Thor lifts his hamm- axe into the air and brings it down, wiping out all the alien dogs and making the rest retreat back to the mother ship.

I can't believe that THAT just happened...

"Where has that been this whole time?" Pietro asks.

"Had to get used to the new weapon." He flips it through the air. "Like it?"

Pietro shrugs.

I take off my mask.

"Harley?! What are you doing here?! I thought you were Stark?" Thor questions.

"I came to help."

"Do you have a name?"

"I haven't really thought of it...what about...Iron..."

"Lad?" Thor asks.

"I like it. Iron La-" I notice something.

"Where's Steve?! And Wanda?!" I ask worried. "Shuri why are you here?! Aren't you supposed to be with Vision?"

"Another one of tHaNoS' cHiLdReN got up to the tower and I had to help fight them off. They got to Vision. Steve and Wanda saw and went to help. I don't know where they went after that..."

"Hey guys, purple grape is here." Sam says through the comms. "And he's not happy. We need you guys here ASAP. We're near the front of the woods."

Thor overhears and he and Pietro are in the lead to get there.

We arrive just as Thor jumps Thanos and hits him with his axe, pushing it deeper into his shoulder area.

He says something to him, but I was too far away to hear.

The one thing I could here was from the purple grape himself.... "You should have gone for the head-" and then he snaps and disappears.

"What happens now?" Bucky asks.

No one answers. I examine my surroundings and see a mourning Wanda next to a lifeless Vision, with Pietro by her side.

A couple seconds later, dust fills the air.

"What's going on-" I ask, worried, looking around.

"I don't kn-" Sam turns to dust as he touches my shoulder.

"Steve-" I shoot my head and see Bucky turn to dust in Steve's arms.

My head starts looking around frantically. My eyes land on T'Challa and Okoye. I see T'Challa go next and Okoye's face flash over with pain.

"Natasha what's happening- you're not going to go are you- or Steve- Bruce-" I look over and see both Wanda and Pietro turn to dust.

"We lost..." Is all Natasha could say.

"We can't lose- you're the Avengers...you're not supposed to lose- this isn't what's supposed to happen-"

"Shh...Harley we're going to figure this all-"

"Nat-" I cut her off. I look at my hands. "No- no- no- Nat- Steve- Bruce- Thor....."
