Chapter 5

     There was my kid brother...well you know what I mean.

Johnny was laying on the Curtis brothers couch. His face was busted and bleeding.  He looked like somebody ran over his face.

I was FURIOUS.

Bonnie: Oh my gosh Johnny, what happened?..(I said crying instantly)

I ran over to Johnny he could barely talk.

Bonnie: Johnny wats wrong?..(I said going from sad to mad)

Johnny: It was nothing

Bonnie: REALLY JOHNNY YOU LOOK LIKE SOMEONE SMASHED YOUR FACE INTO CONCRETE.....AND IT'S NOTHING.

Johnny: calm down Bonnie it was nothing.

Bonnie: WHO DID IT?

Johnny looked at the rest of the guys and they looked at him.

Sodapop: Tell her Johnny... it's ok

Bonnie: Johnny tell me...(I said calmly wiping my tears.)

Johnny: (beginning to cry)..It was dad.

Bonnie: That bastard...(I said looking in my pocket for my switchblade)

Johnny: No Bonnie it's not worth it....he is really drunk...it was my fault....I knew I should have just shut up talking about you. He got mad because I was happy about you being here.....then he lost it.

Bonnie: ...and mom

Johnny looked down.

Bonnie: Guys wat did she do to him

Darry: Show her your back Johnny.

Johnny got up and lifted his shirt.

Johnny: She made me take my shirt off and started burnin me with weeds.

I started balling covering my mouth. Dally couldn't take it he started for the door.

Bonnie: Where you going Dally?..(I said still crying )

Dally: Are you coming?...(he said tears running down his face)

I knew where Dally was talking about. I gripped my blade real hard.

Bonnie: let's go

When I walked out the door all I heard was Johnny say no and the door open and close. I turned around.

Ponyboy: Just stay please

Bonnie: Ponyboy go take care of Johnny.

I kept walking and all I heard was Pony say "that's your job. "I shot him a mean stare.

*me and Dally arrived at the house*

Dally began beating at the door.

When my dad came to the door, Dally socked him right in the face. Dally walked in grabbing my dad's collar and  continuously punching him.

I started to look for my mom. I saw her in the living room watching TV.

I walked over to her grabbed her weed and pressed the end of it against her arm. Then I punched her in the face and knocked her out cold.

I walked out and Dally was waited for me by the door next to my dad who was also knocked out.

I don't know what got hold of me but I ran up to Dally and started kissing him. He kissed back. I felt amazing.

Then was a sound in the bushes. We looked outside and a figure emerged from the bushes.
