"Now, where is Peter?" Adam asked angrily, annoyed by all the games.

"I don't know who you're talking about. " Gamora huffed. She gritted her teeth in agony, as the blast hit just above her stomach. She felt worried about how the baby reacted, but was more scared about Peter.

"I'm not going to ask again. Tell me now, or you will receive the same fate as the one they call Star-Lord." Adam demanded. Gamora's mouth curved into a smile as she planned her escape. She motioned to a frightened Groot to follow her lead. Mora stood up and walked closer to Adam. "He's coming." As soon as those words left her mouth she stomped her foot down on his and kicked the back of his knees to weaken him.

She leaned in close to Adam's face. "He's coming and you will suffer the wrath of your enemies. No one touches my little starlord." She said in a hushed, protective tone. Gamora raised her fists to knock him out in one swift strike. Groot's arms extended, forming a makeshift prison around him, making bonds that aren't bound to break.

Gamora waited for the rest of the Guardians to return with her sword in hand. She examined the blade and saw a crack in the blade from the battle against Thanos. She winced from the pain of those memories. Finally, she heard the familiar clanking of Peter's boots that she listened for everyday. "What happened here? " Drax asked as he looked at the damage caused by Adam. "This happened. " Gamora kicked around Adam's unconscious body to reveal his face to the rest of her team. "Oh no. " Peter gasped as he saw the face of a familiar foe. "I am Groot? " You know him? "What did he do? What did he come for?" Quill worriedly asked. He looked up at his love and saw her face filled with distraught emotions. She met his gaze, hesitate to answer his question.
