you fidgeted with your bandages on your hands as you scowled putting them into the river to clean the cuts. When you were done you rewrapped your arms. You wer depressed and due to it you used whatever you could to harm yourself. These cuts weren't so thin either they were pretty deep but it had happened and you couldn't do anything but wait for them to heal and hide them for a while.

But how long could you hide them for?

From who? Those two. Dororo and hyakkimaru I think his name is. You met them back where they were traveling and they let you tag along. You could fight demons and could get food for dororo and hyakkimaru so they figured it'd be okay. You weren't worried about hyakkimaru finding out, in fact you figured he'd never find out because from what you knew he couldn't see, that's what dororo said at least. She always said how she thought hyakkimaru would never get over mio and sure enough he started feeling better after you came! She thought it was a miracle! You giggled slightly at her antics. You three decided to bunker down at a village for the night, you handling all funds due to it was also your money to begin with, got a room with the three. Dororo instantly passing out on the bed. You sat by the door trying to give the two space, however hyakkimaru apparently had other plans. He sat right next to you. Well great I guess there's no letting you let your cuts breathe. Oh well you were sure it'd be okay. He looked at your general direction and pointed to the ceiling talking about the stars and then pointed at you , wondering if you were going to sleep.
"Oh, no I'm okay! You get some sleep you'll need it!"
His smile faltered into a frustrated face as he grabbed your left wrist with his hand and as you tried to pull back he only gripped tighter. You winced in pain as he suddenly let go worriedly.
"(Y/n),,, you,, okay??"
You looked at him stifling a giggle. Whenever he talked it was a little broken due to not having a voice until recently . You sighed
" no, you didn't hurt me, it's okay hyakkimaru."
He smiled for a split second but frowned
" then,,, why ,,, arm hurt?"
You froze, no he couldn't know about it, all you did was wince maybe that's it
As you were thinking of a way to lie to this man on what hurt you he gripped your left hand again , pulling you towards him into an embrace. You didn't loathe this. It was so gentle and warm like you could stay forever. You completely forgot about your hurts and worries and just layed with him. Hyakkimaru put your head in his lap as he stroked your head, calming you down. He then grabbed your arm again and pointed to your arm sadly.
" I,, did that,, to myself,,"
He looked at you in shock,tears threatened to spill from his face.
" why,,, not happy?"
You sat up immediately noticing his sadness and frustrated look
You got flustered, words didn't come out right , trying to give him an honest explanation would take forever. He all of a sudden put his head on your injury and "nuzzled" it trying to make you feel better, as cute as this was you had to push him away.
"Yes, I was very sad due to my ,,, er family."
Yeah that should work right?? I don't think he needs to know too much right? Your thoughts were interrupted by your arm being lifted again, hyakkimaru was unwrapping your bandages and at this point you didn't care. He felt down your arm and then "attempted " to kiss each one  a flustered face is what he got in return.
when he was done he looked at you
" (y/n),, no more,, hurting self. Okay?"
You smiled , tears threatened to overspill
"Of course."
He smiled oh so faintly and pulled your head onto his lap to sleep for the night , stroking your hair to pull you into sleep you only heard one thing before sleep overtook you
"(Y/n) ,,I,, love you"
This was a very comfortable night indeed
