Let's be "Fair"

"As long as I have my suit and tie everything will be alright....right?"

Asked Tom to himself as he stared at the mirror. Small problem though, he had no suit. The only fancy clothes he had was a shirt with a tie at it, legit drawn at the shirt! He grumbled adjusting his "tie" by which I mean shirt, to then head out the door to spot Matt smiling up at him eagerly.

"Yes yes I know I look stupid, I couldn't find anything better"

Matt chuckled and pat his shoulder.

"Tom you forget you're taking her to a fair and not a fancy restraunt"

Tom blinked twice and then it clicked. He lightly gaped his mouth open and nodded now smiling and hugging Matt.

"Matt you are a genius!"

Matt smiled warmly and hugged the other back. Breaking the hug they had a nice passing conversation until the mirror was reached. Tom looked over and froze, the uneasiness shown by him sent Matt puzzled to tilt his head.

"Whats the matter Tom? Why aren't you going in?"

"I....forgot to get her something...Ugh been so long since I have been on a da-"

"Tom you win her something over there, It's a fair, come on!"

Something else was bothering Tom, Matt could tell. Sighing he placed a hand at the other's shoulder in attempts to calm him down.

"Tom the pains are over... you won't loose her"

"How can you be so sure?"

"I just am, have more faith and loosen up Thomas its your date now go!"

He slapped his butt causing Tom to jump in like a frog. An exchange happened as soon as Tom fell through Matilda jumped in the mirror. Ell giggled as Tom's hoddie landed over his head since he had previously been carrying it in his hand. That portal always messes with him creating doubts that his shoes will even make it across. She bent down and lifted the jacket, covering the pineapple man, lightly up peeking inside to stare into his deep void sockets.

"Aww the Tom cat is back"

Tom only smiled up at her and got up. Taking his hoodie from his hair he tied it round his waist to see the female had done the same. Taking now the opportunity to see her outfit. A turquoise strapped shirt with some white dangling sleeves with her lovely green hoodie round her waist. Both had on shorts from their previous pant colors, an educated guess they might have taken a pair and turned them into shorts just for summer.

"You look stunning"

Said Ell now shyly twirling her hair and looking back. Tom then offered her his hand. The female chuckled rolling her eyes and took it.

"And you look radiant"

"Ah ha sure now come on!"

Getting a grip of his hand she proceeded to give a mighty tug to get the other light on his feet to follow. Running like idiots hand in hand not caring for the numerous eyes that looked at them run their way through. The people would only stare and make no other judgement. Majority smiled at the love that bloomed out like a bright ray of sunshine among the crowds. All that mattered was that they were happy. To their surprise they slowed down their pace to stare at a ghost town of a fair. Tom thought back at what time the fair would start and looked down at his clock.
