Chapter 2: Soren

"You are no match for me Metal Beak! For i am Lyze of Kiel!" Soren yelled.

"But Soren." I said quietly

"And i will send my whole army on you!"

"But Soren!"

"Oh...What is it Egg?"

"You said i could be Lyze of Kiel!"

"Oh, next round i promise."

"Ok. But your still no match for....Metal Beak!" I yelled and charged into his stomach just as Ma and Da came into the tree hollow. "Hi Ma!"

"Hi Eggy, i brought you a mouse!" Ma said as she set down the mouse.

I walked toward it and ate it.

"Me and the boys will be back later we are going to practice branching." Da said as he flew from one branch to another, the boys following, Soren was awesome at it he was so silent i did not even hear him leave, but i heard Kludd! I think he is the most noisiest flyer in the history of owls!

I giggled at that moment.

It was almost day and i was getting tired, but i always waited for Soren, a few minutes later they both came in and Kludd sat in the middle of the Hollow and Soren sat next to him. They were whispering something, 'its a good thing i am a barn owl!' I thought and i tilted my head towards them, "Kludd, want to go branching again?"

"No! All you want to do is show off."

"Ok then we will just have to play, Battle of the Ice Claws again."

Kludd looked at him and nodded they went outside.

I was in Soren's nest waiting for him, but all i heard was a screaming i looked out the Hollow and they were on the ground! I gasped and went to Ms. P, "Soren! Kludd! Ground! Help!" I said breathing heavily, Ms. P looked out and they were gone. "Where?" She said and looked about. "No owl is on the ground." I then realized they were gone, i thought i would never see Soren again.
