Later that night, Jaemi stood in solidarity at the entrance to Sugar Palace, holding an empty briefcase in her left hand.
She could hear the pumping music from outside and the huge amounts of chatter from the crowds of people outside. It seemed that the casino doubled up as a sort of nightclub and it was incredibly popular. The line of partygoers stretched around the entire block.
She nods to herself before walking inside. Seoho cruised the back alleys in a discreet and modest car, he would act as the getaway driver if the mission went wrong. A simple track and retrieve mission. It sounded so simple and Mr Choi knew that Jaemi would be perfect for the job, if not for her skill then the countless number of successful missions she had under her belt.
"ID?" The bouncer asks, scrutinizing her. Jaemi had worn a basic suit, easy to move in and nothing that would stand out too much. She had taken the liberty of dressing it up a bit though, with gold accessories and boots. It modernised the basic suit and gave it a chic look.
Jaemi handed over the fake ID that Seoho had made earlier that day. Once again it was nothing special to make her stand out, and had a fake name. The bouncer narrowed his eyes at the card before grunting and letting her pass.
Jaemi offered a fake smile to the guard, sliding past. The atmosphere of the cold street immediately changed and it took her a moment to adjust. It was a very different environment to the nightclub Jaemi had visited a few days ago. Far more somber tones, the entire room decorated in blood red and lavish gold.
The thumping music she had heard from down the street had only increased in pitch. Jaemi suspected the loud music had been purposefully chosen so that the patrons could focus as much, instead becoming more indulgent in wasting their money gambling.
Thousands of tables were scattered around, multiple games of pool and poker with decks of cards and crowds hollering bets for who would win. Near the centre was, of course, the dance floor and DJ booth.
Around the edges of the room, stood thousands of guards, clearly more than usual due to the different uniforms and weapons around their belt. Obviously, because a member of Bangtan would be here and they needed to protect him.
As her eyes drifted around the room her eyes caught a glimpse of a few of the higher status guards. Of course; armpit holsters. She had known of them, generally only the tightest security facilities would have them, due to the demand of absolute secrecy. That or well trained agents that were required to remain hidden. It seemed a lot of effort had been put into ensuring Suga's safety.
Jaemi maneuvered through the dancing crowds. It didn't take long for her eyes to fall upon a private seating area on the very left side, flanked by two intimidating guards. This was the obvious area where Suga would be, dealing away.
The seating area stood high on a raised platform, with tables, barricades and a ceiling of glass. It was almost as if the opaque ceramics were screaming; look at me; I hold the power over you. She had to admit, Suga had style.
Once Jaemi had gathered enough intel, she moved off to the side, joining a few games of roulette and blackjack. She made sure to not win or lose too many times. She found it incredibly easy to read each player, simply knowing the fate of the game judging by their actions and facial features. However she chose to lose, it's never a good idea to win too many times, it puts a marker on your head. Gamblers start to get angry, and the last thing Jaemi needed was for a fight to occur.
As Jaemi floated from table to table, it made her trip to the right side of the room less conspicuous, instead as if she were simply another partygoer, joining in on the fun. The commute took her to a hallway in the very right corner. Two guards stood on either side. Jaemi took on the act of a drunk, swaying in her step as she walked over to the guards, slurring her words.
