After a long day of fighting Eggman Sonic was very drained, mentally and physically. He was arriving at his and his roommates house, Shadow.
With his head down he walks in, thinking of what to do next even though it's very simple. Go to bed, that was his objective. But he needed one more thing before doing that.
He walks further in, feeling like breaking down any moment, finding himself in the living room.
In the living room Shadow was sitting there looking for something to see on the tv. Instead of Sonic saying something or even smiling, he was just staring at Shadow.
"Sonic." Said Shadow in a greeting manner, realizing he was there.
"......I-...." Sonic cut himself off by taking a deep breath. "I-I need a hug." He said blankly.
"Um... a hug?" He said turning off the tv and looking at him in concern. "Ok...?"
Shadow stood up and walked towards Sonic. He hesitantly wrapped his arms around the ezure hedgehog. making sure not to prick himself with Sonic's quils. After about 45 sec. the azure hedgehog embraces the hug and hugs back. Sonic felt much more lighter then when he came home. Sighing he speaks up with a soft whisper. "Thank you Shadow."
"Um you're welcome, now go to rest I'll make food later so I'll wake you up then." Said Shadow in a softer voice then before. Sonic just nodded and left to his bedroom.
"What am I going to do with you?" Shadow Said with a fond but small smile on his face
