I have decided to go ahead and upload the rest of this story, because many have requested for me to continue it. So I hope you enjoy!
The rest of the week went on normally, well as normal as it can get. Mom still didn't talk to me, Alexa was hyped about her party, and Jordan was busy playing his video games. Alexa had gone to her party and come back with what she considered good news. Ross had asked her out, and she has become more annoying since then.
Today, Mom had sent Dad and I out to the store with a list of things to get. We were picking out meat but Dad couldn't decide between the pork chops, or the steak. While he was deciding, I went to go find some paper towels. I found them on the top shelf and had to stretch my arm up to try and grab them, but I was still too short. I nearly grabbed one, only to almost cause other stuff to fall on me.
"Need help?" I heard someone ask. I saw a tanned arm reach up past mine and grab the paper towel I was reaching for. I looked to myself to see a familiar face, my own going pale.
"Was this what you wanted?" he asked. I stared up at him surprised to find him here. "Um...you're welcome." he smiled handing me the paper towels. I just stood there and awkwardly took the towels from him.
"I saw the fight online. That was pretty brutal." he said, suddenly bringing that up. I nodded in reply wondering why he was talking to me.
He was Jude Olsen, a Clear Water football player. One of the best looking guys in the whole school. What was he doing here talking to me; an outsider who didn't even care about football?
"I heard you guys got suspended. That's pretty bad ass." He said. I pulled myself together and looked up at his face.
He was really cute; his dark blonde cropped hair, his square jaw, and those big brown eyes. I shook myself away from his looks to answer him.
"Are you wanting another thank you?" I quipped. He chuckled.
"Damn, you are feisty. I hope to see you when you get back to school." he said. I quirked an eyebrow in suspicion, but mostly confused.
"Really?" I asked. He nodded. "Do you even know who I am?" I asked.
"Of course! You're the girl from my English class, who had enough guts to fight Linda and her groupies." I smirked, but I was disappointed. He didn't even know my name.
"I'm kidding, Zyra." he chuckled again. I looked up at him shocked, which made him laugh again.
"How do you know my name?" I asked a bit pissed he found it funny.
"Like I said, you're in my English class. I see you everyday writing in your journal or whatever." he confessed. It made me blush to realize that he's seen me writing. I looked down at the paper towels in my hand, wondering if dad had picked out the meat yet.
"Do you always write?" he then asked. I almost scoffed but I nodded instead. "That's really col. I wish I could write as much as you do."
"What?" I asked, taken aback.
"I'm just too busy with football and work." he said, tugging on his shirt. Then I noticed the black vest and his name tag. I felt my cheeks burn.
"You work here?" I asked as he smiled.
"Yup!" he smiled.
"Where do you find the time to do homework?" I asked and he shrugged.
"On my breaks, and when I get home." he said. I sighed, he was really busy.
"You go to morning practices too I bet."
"Yeah, I worked stuff out with coach, besides this is only a part time job." he said and I nodded.
