My eyes open quickly, gasping for air.
"There we go! thank goodness your alive. Thought I lost you." A boy with wet floppy hair stands above my body.
I look at him confused, "what?" my mouth moves but I have no voice to ask him.
"Don't try to talk. You were out in the water. Completely unconscious. I didn't want you to drown. I'm Johnny by the way... an ambulance is on the way." He looks at me with a concerned smile on his face.
It troubles and confuses me. I don't know this boy. But he's worried about my well being. He's a fool... but I don't want to be alone, so I will keep him around if he decides to do so.
The sirens grow louder, I guess towards us. two men come running up, "hello! Can you hear me?" One starts yelling at me.
I raise an eyebrow at the chubby faced man and nod.
"She can't talk sir..." Johnny says to them.
"Do you know her name sir?" the other man asks Johnny calmly.
Johnny shakes his head, "I'm sorry. I do not know her name."
Chubby man looks at him, "you need to come with us sir. To talk to the nurses." the two men start to move me onto a stretcher.
Johnny follows them into the ambulance and holds my hand. It's still slightly numb so I don't feel it. "You'll be fine miss. I won't leave you alone until we know who you are."
I stare at him. He has a gentle smile and bright green eyes. He looks like he's easily hurt. You are such a fool.
