Your POV
After the encounter with the blond green cloak, you made your way down the halls, desperate not to make eye contact with him.
You were wearing casual clothing, white hoodie and blue shorts with white candles. The reason for the color white was because on the continent of Venus, and the province of Greece, White was a symbol of purity, and on important days such as this one, white was worn.
Conor was decked out in white as well, since his shirt had a gaping hole in it, Gillian (your brother) let him have one of his old shirts. It was loose and exposed his collar bone. Since the rest of his outfit didn't match, Gillian insisted that he borrowed the full outfit; white jeans, a gold belt, and white combat boots. Gillian has tried to forced the boy into white cloak as well, but he wouldn't give up the color. As a result Gillian commande the servants to sew a green pattern of the green cloaks to a white base cloak. When Conor still wouldn't change from the cloak Gillian used his crown prince rule to force him into it.
Now the three of you were walking in the halls down to the throne room, where you had been summoned. Upon teaching the throne room, you saw three other people in green cloaks. The girls and boy from the ceremony and then a third, show as taller. Must be their mentor. Your mother was seated on her throne, her colorful bird was perched upon the throne's back and was looking down at the visitors.
"Ah! There you are (Y/N)." Your mother called, watching you walk down the stairs and into view. " and who is that with you?" You walked up to your mom and took a seat in your fathers throne, which was unoccupied at the moment, due to some "diplomatic affairs across the sea." Gillian took a standing position next to your mother and crossed his legs as he leaned into the post.
"This is Conor, your grace," the taller man said, his voice strict. "A fellow green cloak" You smiled, green cloaks were well excepted in Greece, they have the nectar after all.
"And exactly what have you come here for, Green cloak." You mother asked, cocking an eyebrow. The bird squeaked after her.
"I have brought terrible news from the seas." The green cloak said, his face forming a frown. You looked forward, you face interested.
"Let's hear it then." You said.
"We have reason to believe that the Devour is back, and with an army of supporters." Your brother gasped and you looked at them in shock.
"Are you sure? Wasn't he defeated?" You mother asked, the green cloak looked at you mother with a hard expression.
"He's new and back stronger than ever, we have reason to believe that they are after the great beasts." I looked down at Kigali who was curled up on my stomach.
"If they are after the great beasts, then why are you here, and not attempting to protect the animals?" You mother asked.
"Because, we need the princess (Y/N)." You looked over at them in schock, no one ever needed you. Maybe for political marriages, but as a second born you were powerless. You jumped up excitedly and Kigali fell to the ground and grunted as she caught herself mid fall. You looked at the green cloak with dazzle in your eyes.
"Absolutely not." Your mother said, you whipped your head around, glaring at her.
"Mom." You pleaded. "They need me!" You stalked over to your mom and shook her arm like a needy child.
"And what if Greece needs you? What if we fall victim? Where will you be? Off running with four other children and an adult babysitter?" You mother threw you off of her arm and glared down. You averted your eyes, ashamed of your actions.
"They are no mere children, your majesty." The green cloak began, "May I introduce you to Gee," a flash of light and the jongees girl produced a magnificent panda, one with gray silver eyes. "Urasa," a leopard appeared, her eyes shining like violets. "esix" The rough boy rubbed he back of his head nervously. He turned around and shouted out the doors "ESSICS!" After a few second a gyre falcon came though the gates and pitched herself on the boys solder. He smiled and bowed. "Thank you, thank you very much." You smirked. "And Briggon. The boy who intruded your room flashed his wrist and put came a large wolf, with pearling blue eyes. "Oh and of course, Meilin, Abeke, Rollan, and Conor." The Jongees girl bowed, while the others attempted to copy and fell over.
I giggle and give a mock bow. "Nice to meet you all, I'm (y/n)." The all chuckled at their clumsiness and waved. I smile and glance over at my mom who was fighting a smile.
"I see," your mother said, keeping her composure. "Well then, (Y/N), it's your choice."
