Hayden, 17 years & 7 months old

Zach and I fought again. It was mostly one-sided, my side, but he convinced me to go back to his house with the rest of the boys instead of getting my own hotel. I only went with them because I knew my mom wouldn't trust me if I didn't follow her only rules on this trip.

Jack drove the six of us from the airport back to the boy's house. I had only been here once before when I met the other five boys but the size of the house still amazed me. The kid across the street who I used to know so well now lives in a mansion in Beverly Hills. Must feel nice.

I got settled in the guest bedroom and got ready for my meeting with Atlantic Records that would be this evening. I curled my short blonde hair and slipped on some jeans and a white cropped shirt. I found my guitar in my pile of luggage and got ready to go.

"Good luck! I hope you get to come on tour with us," Jack winked at me as I was walking out the door to meet my Uber.

"I know she'll come on tour with us. She's too talented not to," Jonah smiled.

I chuckled. "Thanks, guys. I don't want to be late."

"Bye Hayden," Zach and Daniel called at the same time, both with a piece of pizza from lunch hanging out of their mouths.

I got in my Uber and it drove me around Los Angeles until I arrived at the Atlantic Records building. It was a casual workplace. Nothing too fancy like marble floors and waxed wooden walls. It was a normal building with tile floors and drywall and hallways with offices going in every direction. When I first walked in, I found the Welcome desk and told the lady working there about my appointment. She pointed me in the direction of Mr. Kallman's office.

I was told to sit in the waiting room until my appointment time. As I sat there running through crazy scenarios in my head that I knew would never happen, I started to get nervous. Anxious. Shaky. I started doubting myself.

What if I don't get this? What if I mess up? First impressions are everything. Do I look okay? Are my singing and playing okay?

Then, Kraig himself came out to greet me.

"Hello! You must be Hayden Green," he smiled. I stood up out of the cushioned chair.

"And you are Kraig Kallman," I smiled back. He invited me into his office where there were plaques and achievements all over the walls. I sat down in front of his desk.

"I've heard great things about you," He said. "The boys of Why Don't We have made it very clear that they want you on their tour. I understand that you have never done anything professional like this before?"

"No, I've only posted videos of me singing online once or twice," I answered.

"From that video you sent into us, I can tell that you are a very talented artist. Maybe even talented enough for Atlantic," he winked.

I shifted in my seat. "Are you offering me a record deal or asking me to go on tour with Why Don't We?"

"We'll start with a tour, but a record deal might be in your future."

For the remainder of the hour, we discussed music and how the touring was going to work and the management crew and process. Since I didn't have my own management, Why Don't We's tour manager, Jon Lucero, would take me under his wing. The tour would start in July and run through August and I'd get to have my own tour bus. After listening to all the offers, I was more than excited.

It was incredible meeting the CEO of the company. I wondered why he wanted to meet me instead of sending someone else to meet with me. I didn't mind though, it was cool to meet someone so important.

When the meeting was over, I Ubered back to the boy's house to tell them the good news.

"Guess who's going on tour as your opening act?" I exclaimed as soon as I walked in the door. All the boys stood up with excited looks on their faces.

"Congratulations!" Zach yelled and gave me a huge hug.

"We are so excited for you to come on tour with us," Corbyn smiled.

"We're gonna have so much fun," Daniel laughed.
