"I'll be going now! Don't be a bad boy and stay here!"
That was the last thing he heard before the tank began to shake.
Other sea creatures in tanks nearby began to panic. They swam around frantically, often bumped into the glass walls, and tried to burrow into the floor. Some tanks fell to the ground and broke, leaving many sea creatures to drown in air and die.
He knew better. He knew that they couldn't be saved.
But he also knew that he could.
With some of his tentacles, he lifted the lid of his tank and climbed out. Just in case, he snuck into a nearby fish tank and ate a few of them.
Looking around, he noticed that a few other octopuses were doing the same. He waited for them to join him before they all began to crawl to the door...
