I want to leave this planet

I want to leave this planet
There's nothing left here for me
An entire universe lies beyond
What my naked eye can see

If I could travel past Mars
And gaze across the endless red
I would turn and just keep going
Away from the planet I had fled

I'd like to pass by Jupiter
And see the magic that's inside
I'd probably be getting tired
But I'm just beginning my ride

And then there would be Saturn
With it's entrancing rings
I would hurry up to pass it
On to even greater things

As I would approach Neptune
I'd see a solid blue
But I was still on a mission
So past Neptune, I flew

I'd continue way past Pluto
In search of the secrets found behind
In the vast darkness of space
My true self, I'll try to find

My journey is for answers
For self-discovery and bliss
And maybe then I'll turn around
Back to the planet I'll surely miss.
