"Fishlegs hurry up! We're not getting any younger!" Snotlout said as he ran amongst the trees with Fishlegs struggling behind him. He was almost out of breath when Snotlout stopped at a cliff. "Snotlout.....how do....you have....so much.....energy?" Fishlegs gasped when he stopped. "You're just huge fishface!" Snotlout jeered. Fishlegs growled and pushed Snotlout not realising how close to the edge Snotlout was. The young Viking yelped as he fell and Fishlegs panicked seeing him fall. "HOOKFANG!" Snotlout screamed but it was in vain since the dragons were in their pens. Fishlegs waited for the splash.
It never came!
Curious about the delay Fishlegs looked over the edge and jaw dropped. Just above the water floating in mid air was a floating Snotlout! "Snotlout!" Fishlegs called out in surprise making the small Viking open his eyes. He looked around frantically in shock. "What.....what the!? How......how is this happening!?" He yelled panicking. And started to drop. "Snotlout take it easy! Come up here slowly!" Fishlegs called out.
After about an hour Snotlout finally managed to make it back up the cliff. Fishlegs looked at him in shock, amazement and most of all curiosity. "Snotlout that was amazing! How did you do that!?" "I don't know! I didn't want to die and i didn't! Stop questioning me!" Snotlout said walking away. Fishlegs chased after him. "We have to tell Hiccup!" "No! No we don't tell anyone!" Snotlout said sounding more scared than anything. Fishlegs stopped in his tracks. "Why not?" He asked and Snotlout rubbed his arm. "Fishlegs....not everyone thinks the way you do." He said and Fishlegs raised a brow. Snotlout sighed. "Everyone else will think I'm a freak fishface!" "Snotlout you're a miracle of evaluation!" "JUST DROP IT!" Snotlout snapped before turning away and leaving Fishlegs behind shocked and concerned.
"Wait.....you want to study Snotlout?" Hiccup asked. "Yeah. Snotlout is unlike us. He acts like an animal." Fishlegs said and rolled his eyes at the 'you're telling me' comment. "I think if i study him and get to know him we may be able to finally understand him." "Alright Fishlegs. If you want to do this then go ahead." Hiccup said and Fishlegs smiled and nodded before leaving Hiccup's hut. He made his way to Snotlout's hut to study his usual day to day.
