Chapter Three

Normani

~Three months earlier~

I am walking down the street listening to Beyonce after getting off work. The night sky is so pretty tonight and I decided to sit down to enjoy it for a moment. After awhile, I finally get up and continue walking.

While crossing the street, I noticed this car slowly driving ahead. It looked really sketchy and as I was turning around someone suddenly grab me. I look at him and he had a face mask covering only his mouth. "Hurry and run"

We ran down several streets until we got to a really nice neighborhood. It look so family-friendly. Hopefully one day, when I achieve my dreams,my family and I will live in a better neighborhood like this. But for now I can only dream. We continue walking down the neighborhood until we got to a fancy luxurious black car park outside one of the houses.Wow,this guy got money. While admiring his car I can feel him looking at me. I look down at my arm and noticed he still had a grip on it. You should know better than to run around with a stranger Normani. " Who are you" I snatch my arm away.

"Who am I?? You should be thanking me" he took his face mask,shades,and cap off. I let out a breathe, this guy was hot.He wasn't just hot, this guy was sexy. He had blonde hair and I could tell he had to be Korean. His jawline wasn't really sharp but it was nice. He had brown eyes and some nice ass pouty lips.

Realizing I was staring too long, I cough " thanking you for what?"

" For saving your life, something I never do. Don't you know that when you see a sketchy car you run the other way instantly and not think about it" he look me in the eyes

" erm..thank you. I guess" and I had to stop myself from laughing at the face he made.

"Un-fucking-believeable..never again lord" he roll his eyes.

This guy needs to chill. " what-" I then get cut off by the car from earlier slowing coming down the street.

He pumped his trunk and got in. "Close this and get in the front seat"he gave me his keys. Confused, I quickly did what he said and pretend like I was getting ready to leave.

When it got to the car I was in, the window to the other car let down. " Let down the damn window, I saw the door close." I look at them, and instantly got scared.They both look like they was trouble.

Scared for my life, I swallowed my fear and let it down "excuse me".

" have you seen a guy with black walking around somewhere, he's my brother and we can't seem to find him" he look me in the eyes daring me to lie.

"No. I just got into my car planning on going to my grandmas house" I lied

He looked at the guy riding with him and he nod his head. " Let down the two back windows" he grunted at me.I quickly let down the windows. He look inside the car and stretch his neck further to look at the seats and floor. " It's clear, told you he wouldn't come to a neighborhood like this" he whispered to the guy. He then looked at me " sorry for bothering you ma'am, enjoy your night" and drove away. I let up all the windows and let out a sigh. Who is this guy and why are they after him?
