A kid called Katsuki Bakugo
An ego larger than life itself felt deflated as he sat under the large apple tree by the playground he usually goes to with his friends, but this time he wanted to be alone.
His knees pulled to his chest as he just watched the swings swaying with the wind, his nose sniffing as his small fingers went to wipe the tears slightly spilling out of his eyes.
"You okay?" a voice suddenly asked from above confusing the small boy as he looked around to see who had spoken, up until something as dark as ink flew past him to his right startling him to the point of falling back. "AH!" he called out staring at the thing that suddenly made itself known, her paler-than-average skin made him almost think she was a ghost if it weren't for the slight glint in her dark eyes and her shit-eating grin on her upside-down face.
"Did I scare you?" She asked, cheerfully as she slightly swung back and forth like a swing, her legs tucked around the branch along with her gown that was luckily pinned between her bottom and the branch so it didn't fall to her chin and leave her revealed to the world.
"No..." he muttered defensively as he glared at her trying to hurdly wipe the tears away so there was no evidence of his vulnerable state from earlier as he watched this odd girl hanging upside down from a tree branch. Her hair was supremely dark, like an abyss, as it hung down as far as it could go with the shorter length of it.
She started to cackle like a crazy person before sitting back up on the branch glancing at the boy from above. "You're strange..." he tried to divert the attention from how he had been frightened by this small girl who seemed to have crawled out of a horror movie with how scary her appearance was.
Abruptly the laughter stopped as her head snapped to him, making him sweat a bit as he watched her elegantly slip down the branch facing away from him for only a moment before swiftly spinning around and meeting his gaze.
She stepped closer, not breaking eye contact for even a second. "Why were you crying?" her voice was so warm, contrasting with her appearance that felt cold. "I wasn't crying..." The boy huffed not at all wanting to show any weakness around this strange female around his age.
"Yes, you were..." Her head tilted to the side as she said this, eyes shining with curiosity... "Did you get in a fight with someone?" she asked head still tilted with her hands tucked behind her back almost coming off as pretty and cute, but Bakugou was determined to never let anyone in.
"You were seeing things!" he yelled his small hands pulling into fists beside him, he was expecting her to yell at him... like everyone usually does when he yells at them, but instead she shrugged her shoulders and took a seat on the more shaded part of the tree stump right next to where he was sitting earlier. "If you wanna deny it... then okay... we don't need to talk about it." She spoke so gently before smiling up at him rooting him in his stance but soon her small hand reached out and grabbed his pulling him back to his seat. "But come sit here with me... at least for a little bit." Her features seemed to glow as the sunset reflected in her eyes as they twinkled up at him.
"Fine..." he muttered as he took his seat on the cool grass beside the strange girl who had dropped down from the tree like a creepy spider.
