Better Than Beautiful

Chapter 2

Lucas's POV, a year later

I'd been wanting to ask Bella to move in with me the moment I'd asked her out but, that was too soon. She'd walked in to my place since she stayed over from time to time when she visited her dad and smiled as she walked over to me. She sat next to me on the couch and kissed my cheek. "So, I've got a question for you, babe." I said, a little nervous as I looked over at her. She looked over and seemed nervous as well, probably about the question I was going to ask. "Ok....What is it?" She asked, looking at me. I smiled nervously as I pulled out a box big enough to hold a key in it, I'd had my brother Nick go get the key copied for me. "Will you move in with me? You're here, every weekend it seems, so, it just makes sense for you to move in with me. So, will you?" I said, opening the box. She smiled and kissed me. "Does that answer your question?" I smiled as I kissed her back as she took the key and put it on her key ring. We kissed for another 5 minutes and she leaned into my side. I kissed the side of her head as she turned on Vampire Diaries. I laughed because all we watched was either TVD, The Originals, or Lost. All had references to her dad or had him in them. She really was a daddy's girl, which is just fine with me, I'm a momma's boy so, it works out. "So....What would you think about having a baby?" She asked, randomly. "Uh, right now? Honestly, I'd love it. I've wanted one for so long, so, I'd be okay with that. How come?" I asked her, looking down at her. "Well, I went to the doctor earlier today, and well...." She said, pulling out a positive pregnancy test and a paper confirming it. "Are you serious!? That's amazing!" I said, smiling and resting a hand on her belly. She smiled at me, "Yeah, it is." We sat and talked for awhile about names when my brother and his girlfriend, Bella's younger sister, Jubilee, walked in. "Hey guys! We're just swinging by for some food. Mom's not gonna cook tonight." I laughed, Nick really was the Joey in our life. Bella and Jubilee talked for awhile as Nick & I did. Nick and Jubilee were living with our mom as Jubilee was expecting and they didn't really have anywhere else to go. 

I looked over at Bella and smiled, "Alright, well, we've gotta get some dinner ourselves so, sorry to run y'all out but, we kinda need to eat too." Bella hugged Jubilee and Nick after I did, walking them to the front door. "See y'all soon!" Jubilee said, walking out & taking Nick's hand. I walked to the kitchen and pulled out some steaks as I started up the grill out back. I felt Bella lean against my back and smiled as I pulled her around to the front of me and kissed her softly. She kissed me back, letting her arms hang around my neck and leaning into me. "Steaks and potatoes sound good?" I asked, brushing a piece of hair away from her face. She nodded and kissed me again before heading back inside and starting up the stove. She turned on 'Georgia Peaches' by Lauren Alaina and I smiled, watching her dance around. She stopped dancing around when she saw me walk in and started to laugh, "You weren't supposed to walk in! I thought you were outside, cooking the steaks!" I laughed as well, walked over & kissed her. "Well, I couldn't help but watch you. Your moves are VERY distracting." She smiled and laughed, turning on Jasmine Rae's 'Hunky Country Boys' and started dancing again. She grabbed my cowboy hat from the Hannah Montana movie and continued dancing around. I smiled, watching her as I grabbed my phone and told her it was just a video for me but, put it on my Instagram Live. I laughed as she stepped out back and stood up on the deck railing, continuing her dance out there. I checked on the steaks, turned the heat down a little and continued filming her. She circled her hips twice, held onto my hat as she jumped down and held onto my shoulders as she bent backwards, letting a leg rest on my hip. I held onto her back, pulling her up slowly as she gripped my shirt and kissed me. I smiled and kissed her back, "So, what now?" She smiled, moved back towards the grill and checked on the steaks, flipping them over. "Now, dinner. Then? Who knows." She said, putting my hat back on and winking at me over her shoulder, turning the music up louder and dancing around the kitchen again. I finished with the steaks and walked back into the house, sat them down on the counter and looked around for Bella. "Babe? You still here?" I asked as I noticed the lights were shut off. I saw candles burning and my hat back in its original spot on the wall, there was a slight smell of jasmine and magnolia coming through the air. I looked around for Bella again after shutting off the stove. I made my way up the stairs and found her in bed, sitting in a denim jacket alone. 

I looked at her, smirking slightly, "What's all this about?" She didn't say a word but, got up, slipped her jacket off, slipped her arms around my neck and kissed me. I let my arms rest right above her ass, I was seriously tempted to just squeeze it but, I was being a gentleman and letting her take the reigns for the night. I lifted her up gently underneath her upper thighs and kissed her again. "So, what happened to dinner now and who knows later?" I asked, brushing some hair away from her face. She shrugged her shoulders and ran a hand down my chest, "I don't know, I guess I was just hungry for something else." I smirked and kissed down her neck as she unbuttoned my shirt, slowly slipping it off my arms.
