Lavenders and Lipstick

Chapter 3

"All four?'' I ask. I feel like the wind has been knocked out of me. All four of the abilities? What does that even mean?

"Yes. Your have the power to control the Wind, Fire, Water, and ground. Ground as in plants and stuff like that." 

"Wh-" 

"All origins have all four powers. I do too, you will be taught to use them and also be taught how to run the entire planet. You are the youngest Original." He says all of this like it's normal, I mean...for him it's probably very normal. He is use to all of this, he knows the way, he knows how to get around the new Earth, he knows everyone, he is one of them. Even with powers I still don't feel like one of them. 

"How long have you guys been on the new...the new Earth?" 

"Only 150 years, but all of the structures and everything like that have been around far longer. You planned this out. None of us could have children for some reason, all 5 of us men, so we kept you in for 150 years more so you can have children and we can wait till we need a new Origin ruler. Your powers will be descended onto your children and they will be the next ruler." He stopped for a second and then resumed. "We do have one other Origin who is your age, he is destined to be your king and you will have children." He smiled nicely and waited for a reaction.

"So I am a 16 year old girl who has colonized life on a different planet, has traveled 4.2 light years away from everything she has ever known, has a slave, and now has to get married and have children for the sake of some old man who says so? This is not  how I planned this place. It was supposed to be like New York or Tokyo! Not this shitty place. I haven't even been down there and I know that it's not going to be what I planned!" He grimaced and said.

"I know all of this might be confusing and saddening to you, but I promise, give this place a chance, you will love it. You will understand and like our ways." He said will in such a compelling voice that I believed him. what is it really like down there? I will like it, it's just different.

The elevator came to a stop. We have arrived. My stomach got all bubbly and my heart started to race. The door opened and a swoosh of steam came from the bottom and I couldn't see shit. It was hot and burned my skin. I closed my eyes and when I opened them the steam was clearing. A cool breeze wiped the rest away. 

The planets ground was brown dirt colored like Earths and it was covered in green grass. I looked up and saw a purple and blue sky. There were even two suns. Or one Sun and a small star. I stepped onto the grass, my bare feet feeling the individual blades. We were in the middle of a small town square. All the houses were made of a some sort of clay, all the houses were brown, yellow, black and decorated with flowers and banners. It looked like a celebration.   There were trees and plants, a garden and it looked very decorated. 

The leaves of a near by tree rustled, some leaves on the bushes rustled, a door swung opened, a heard shutters burst open and 100,000,00 little flower petals filled the air. I screamed and tried to back into the elevator. Unfortunately it had already close and was on it's way up. I grabbed the nearest thing I could grab to protect me from whatever was hiding and I picked it up. It just happened to be a child's boomerang. I prepared to fight. 

"SURPRISE!" A thousand voices boomed.I screamed even louder and tried to hide behind Phillips.

"Don't be alarmed Dr. Fernandez, it's just the town, they are here to congratulate you!" He cried.

"Hail Fernandez!" They all cheered. My eyes widened and I could barely speak. 

"Hi." I managed to get out. I don't exactly remember what happened after that. I just remember that I wanted to get out. Phillips made an announcement that we could have the party tonight and he can't wait. He of course had to add Hail Fernandez. They repeated it back and then said Hail Phillips. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

I woke up in a bed. I didn't know where I was, all I knew was I was starving.

"Hello?" I whispered. I haven't had anything to drink. "Hello?" I said a little louder

"Dr. Fernandez, it's me." A little girl opened the door to the room I was in. She carried in fruits and a glass of some sort of liquid.

"Your- your the little girl who was on the ship." She had a nice dress on, makeup and her hair was in very intricate braids. Whereas when we first met she was wearing plane gray clothing, her hair was straightened and down.

"Yes, my name is Veri. I am to be serving you." She straightened her back and walked towards me, she set the food tray down on my bed and stepped away. 

"Nice to meet you,where am I." I took some sort of purple and gold fruit from the tray and eyed it carefully. I think I can eat the whole thing. I took a bite and juice squirted everywhere. It exploded in my mouth and let's just say It was the best fruit in the world.

"Your in your new room, we are in the main building, and on Proxi." She motioned me to try the liquid. It looked cold and slimiy, it was green and blue with purple and gold specks in it. I picked it up and it was nice and warm, I gulped it down and it tasted like warm strawberry milk, or something like it. 

"What are these?" I asked.

"The fruit is Karmzin and the liquid is ambrosia, the "drink of the gods"." I looked around my room, nothing was how I planned it. The houses were supossed to be small and compact, a Japanese design almost. 

"I see, can I see the city?"

"Of course! As a leader you may do whatever you wish whenever you wish. Get dressed and follow me." I wasn't dressed?
