"Pre, magstastart na. Takas ka na ngayon kasi wala ka nang chance bumack out mamaya!" Sigaw ng kaibigan ko.
"Gago!" I shout back and went out of the stall.
Tawa ng kaibigan ko ang bumungad sakin paglabas. I ignored him and washed my hands. "Bakit ikaw lang ang nanggugulo sakin ngayon? Nasaan yun iba?"
"Busy sa paglandi ng brides maids niyo, those fucking whores." He replied then smiled teasingly, "Puta pre, sinong magaakalang ikakasal ka na? 'Kala ko trauma prevails ka, pero naovercome pala iyon ng the great---"
"Oo na, deputa." I interrupted, "last month niyo pa sinasabi sakin yan. Labas! Intayin niyo na ko don."
His eyes rolled, "chinecheck ko lang kung magrurunaway groom ka. You have the history."
I glared at him, bakit kailangan pa niyang banggitin ang past ko? And I didn't even back out at the actual wedding! It was like 5 months before that! He raised his hands in defeat and went out.
Looking up, I caught my image in the mirror, the man it showed was one I was scared to become. Who would have thought my worst fear would transform into a dream come true?
What I saw was a man about to get married. A groom ready for a family, a wife, children, and everything that came along with it. All the responsibilities, lifelong commitments, struggles, everything I was scared of, I now accept with open arms.
I chuckled and went out of the bathroom, the guests greeting me as I confidently head to greet my future wife's family, my in-laws.
The ceremony started shortly. I stand tall with my back straight at the altar. My eyes curved as I stare at the prettiest woman in my life, in awe of her figure.
I replaced her father's hand in her hold, gave it a slight squeeze, and showed a happy smile. Despite the veil covering her face, I know she did the same.
The priest's voice was echoing in the large cathedral, "Dear beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony."
"Alliana Xyrene Carnell---" with the mention of her name it was like everything turned silent.
Ahh~ what a lucky man I've become.
A tear escaped my eyes as the thought passed through my head. I truly was a lucky man to marry such a wonderful woman.
