Chapter 4 - Stay With The Bakery

His footsteps are strong and angry. He looks like he’s going to explode every second. He feels like he has to scream at someone and just get those fairies out of his mind. He is sick of those little games. He doesn’t care about himself or what they do with him in personal, but his work is too important to him. Ed worked so hard for it, he was not going to give it up for something stupid like fairies. Now he iss running to the Big Red Lake where his bestfriend, the mussle man, lives. He is a wise man, quiet, tall and he likes to sing. Ed is like that too, so that’s the reason fort heir friendship. Ed sings while cooking and Sam sings while catching mussels. I can hear you thinking. How can a mussle man collect mussels in a lake? Well, I’ll remind we are in a magical world. Pandoria is totally surrounded by an ocean, so the water became salty because of that. It’s even saltier, because there’s way more salt in less water. Enough biology for now, back to the occurrence.

Ed reaches the hard working Sam. Sam’s mind calmed down a bit already, but he was obviously mad. The thought of having a good friend being there for him makes him smile, but then he remembers he ignored his other best friend and made her leave.

‘I’ll hope she understands…’,he whispers softly.

Sam, with his good ears, notices him and his sad face.

‘What’s up buddy?’, his voice is peaceful and caring and already made him the best friend in the world.

’you seem upset. Again those annoying fairies?’, a simpatethic smile meets Ed.

‘This time it’s worst. I really don’t know what to do anymore…’

His last words come out weird, because he tries to hold back his tears. Once his voice skips, tears stream down his face. Then his tears make place for an angry frown.

‘I just want tos cream and punch someone in the face.’

Ed was clearly surprised by his own words.

‘I mean, you know.. I.. er… You know I’m not like that.’

‘Write.’

‘What?’

‘Write.’

‘What? What do you mean with write? How is that supposed to help me?’

‘Dude, do I really have to remind you, you have superpowers? You don’t see it like that, I know, but what you can do is amazing. You can provoke emotions and emotions just by writing something down.’

‘Well…’ Ed doubts a bit.

‘Yes dude, come on, don’t pretend to be shy. You can accomplish beautiful things.’

‘Yeah… Thanks man. I guess I’m just dumb. I forgot about my how you call it superpower. But I don’t know how that’s going to help me with this shit.’

‘You can touch people right in the heart. You’ll find a way to make up their minds yourself.’

‘Of course… thanks for letting me use your smart brains again, haha.’

‘You’re welcome buddy, we’re friends, remember?’ Their mouths start giggling and then they burst into a laughter, just because they fit so good together.

‘Now, a happier mode. How’s it with that candy girl? I haven’t seen her in a while.’

Sam asks curious.

‘Well, I’ve been busy with my work the last few weeks. We didn’t talk a lot…’

Ed’s shameful.

‘You should invite her to do something nice with you! We should throw a party soon and invite everyone in town.’

On Eds face appears an akward smile. He jumps up and hugs Sam spontaneously

 A bright idea pops in his mind again. He takes his bestfriend’s hand and while running he pulls Sam to his bakery.

‘Whoa whoa, man, what’s up? What happened to you so suddenly? Where are we going? ‘You’ll see, just be patient!’

The candy shop front door is closed so he just knocks. A beautiful, tall and blonde woman with red lipstick on appears behind the windows from the door. She is wearing a cute white floral dress and white keds, she has a sweet grin on her face.

‘Oh, hello there! I haven’t see you in a while. How are you doing?’

‘Hi,nice to see you again!’ Ed obviously lost his words so Sam helped him out. ‘Can we come in?’

The two friends follow the charming woman  and lock the door. Ed closes the windows too before they take a seat.

 ‘Ed, what’s going on? Are you okay?’ the feminine voice asks.

‘Don’t worry! I’m perfectly fine. I have a huge idea, my friends! It’s something big, oh I need to tell you, but it has to stay secret so that’s why I closed…’

‘I’m good darling! You know, the usual, what about you? How are you? You look great today sweetheart.’ Sam interrupts Ed, with saying those words to the woman. ‘Speaking to you, Ed, where are your manners?’

His head turns red once is got the message. He was being rude, again. ‘Oops. I’m so sorry for being so rude … How are you, my dear?’

‘It’s okay my friend, I understand. I’m good, making sweeties and candy and feeding the unicorns, as usual. What’s the plan, captain?’ She smiles cute and Ed blushes.

‘I need your help, both of you. I know I can trust you, my friends, but can I count on your help too?’ The two both nod immediately.

‘Sure, what’s on your mind bro?’ Sam sounds curious.

‘You have no idea?’

‘Not a clue.’ The woman’s face says the same.
