The knock on the door interrups my dream and wakes me up from my afternoon nap. Damn. Whoever it is, he will be punished. Slowly I move my lazy butt out of my basket. A bit dizzy I walk towards the door, where my owner already has her hand on the doorknob.  I can verify the akwardness on the face from the man with flames on his head. The eyes of the mysterious one shoot to his friend for less than a second, when they look back at the woman. His eyes sparkle as stars. I know it sounds cheesy, but it really is. He says something and it was clear he helped his friend out of that uncomfortable situation. Suddenly the sparkle eyes meet mine and my heart skips a beat. After realizing his eyes are already back to my owner. I lick my paw. I can’t stop it, it’s just something I do when I feel akward. I feel really used, I don’t know, it feels like that man just saw my whole personality, including secrets and memories, in only two seconds. It makes me feel weak and I stand here like a statue nailed to the ground.  This totally doesn’t feel safe. I take a few steps back, beyond his reach, but enough to follow the ones who disturbed my sleep.

They come in, which I totally don’t like. I don’t trust that guy. Actually, I hate him. Why does he have to bother my nap and also my inner peace?! The sound of a door getting locked gives me goosebumps. The panic in the man with the orange hair gets on my nerves. In front of that door he was blushing like a red tomato and now he is nervous. Stressfully he closes all the windows, which, of course, raises questions. Meredith, my owner, looks at him questioningly. The other one just takes a seat and pretends nothing is going on. His friend is walking around reared around. Oh no, he’s coming my way. I get the hell out of the hall and I just avoid the peg. I can’t suppress  a small moan out of panic. I jump behind the trash in the kitchen and hide myself. I can almost feel his eyes sting in my back. Well done Taylor, you just chose the worst hiding place ever. I mentally slap myself in the face. It smells, I don’t feel safe and I can’t see what’s going on in the living room. Great. I wait till I hear no more footsteps before I dare to turn my head so that I can see if it’s safe. If I could smile I would laugh as a human who just heard the most funny joke ever, because I can finally leave this stinky trash. Quietly my paws tick on the the wooden kitchen floor. My head turns so I can watch around the corner. It looks like I’ve missed the awkward and getting comfortable part, but that’s always boring. They’re just sitting there, having no clue what to do.

Suddenly, the creepy one helps his friend out, again. He seems to say for what they came. Finally he takes it from him and Meredith and freak hang on his lip. I can see a little doubt on her face. Ed, she said his name, blushes. I think he apologizes to her, probably because she came home crying this afternoon. I hope she deals with this, I know she loves him. She nods and Ed blushes. Again. What is that with those two? Whatever. They start talking really loud, so I dare to take a step closer. They’re very busy with their conversation anyway. Altough the tension, which can be read off from their faces, the situation becomes a little bit more comfy. They get excited. What’s with all this sudden laughing and shouting? And why does this red-haired boy blushes when my owner looks at him? Don’t get me wrong, my fur is also as red as his hair, but I’m not good at names. He starts to whisper, I really don’t know why, because nobody is here except them.

I’m sure it’s them forming a conspiracy. Of course, that’s the reason why he closed all windows and doors! Damn, I wish so hard I could understand them right now. I’m hungry. Wow. Good moment, Taylor, well done. I always get hungry at the wrong times. Can this cute bakery over there make me a fish cake? Wait, what? I just called him cute? Anyway, I think the hunger makes sure that my brains do weird things. By the way, he has those eyes and his curled up smile is kind of sweet. And of course the hair, like flames around his perfect face. What the hell am I thinking? Let’s blame the hunger for that. I sneak back to the kitchen, tipping with my little paws on the marmer floor. BAM. Oops. Why do I always have to overthrow and destroy things in akward moments?! I hit the shoe rack and all shoes fell off. Guess the food has to wait for me. ‘Oh, look who’s there! You lazy cutie cat.’ The blond woman grabs me clumsy and I cling myself to her. My nails press in her hands and stick to her sweater but she doesn’t care so I try to relax a bit. I spin and let her stroke me. ‘Haven’t seen you in a while, Taylor.’ The scary man says with a huge smile and open arms. He looks nice, I’m flabbergasted. But, does he really think I will leave my beautiful lady for his arms? Ha ha, no way. ‘Maybe we can involve your cat in our plan, you know the fairies are allergic to cats.’ Suddenly, my good mood is destroyed. This boy doesn’t look cute to me anymore. No fucking way. He has the most stupid ideas I’ve ever heard about. I am not moving my ass for some ridiculous strangers. ‘Yes! That’s the best idea man, I knew I could use your help!’ Shit. Not him too. Please Meredith, not you. ‘If she doesn’t get hurt, I’m in.’

I think I’m in trouble. And I’m stressing out.
