Marinette awoke to her alarm screaming at her. Once again, she was so tired last night she forgot to turn it off for Saturday. she was exhausted... Being ladybug could sometimes be really hard. However, the ray of sunshine always took it in her stride.

She did enjoy living above the bakery. In the morning the delicious scent of baked goods would make its way into her bedroom. It often gave her the motivation she needed to get up. And so, she made her way down to the bakery, grabbing a croissant on her journey. Sabine looked up from rolling out some pastry.

"Good morning Marinette. Did you forget to turn your alarm off again?"

Marinette rubbed the back of her head, blushing.

"Well, nevermind. Why don't you get dressed and help your father out in the bakery?"

She swallowed a mouthful of croissant, before replying "oui, ma mére!"

And so, she got lost in making pastries and cupcakes until midday. Exhausted, she went up to check her phone.

Tikki then peeked out of her purse.

"Marinette, you better see what they want."

She yawned, before replying.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's see..."

Alya, 10:09 : Hey girl, you up for a meet-up at the café with the girls?
Alya, 11:30 : You're probably busy... that's fine, see you later?

She quickly replied she'd be happy to, before scrolling down to see a message from Luka. She instantly blushed.

Luka, 9:58 : Hey Marinette, would you like to come over tonight? Let me know soon :)

Marinette replied, once again, she'd be happy to... But felt an air of foreshadowing. Hopefully Hawkmoth was having a lazy day... She told her parents her plans for the day and (after some teasing) she headed out to the café. Every one was waiting there.

"Hey girl, you made it! We haven't ordered yet."

All was going well... They teased one another, talked about life in general, and had fun. Until an akuma decided to show up. Marinette almost choked on her coffee.

"Uh... I gotta go bakery the help- I MEAN go help out at the bakery... had fun, bye!"

And with that, she was gone. This was the first akuma in a week, so the first time she had seen Chat Noire.

"Hey Chat, any news on the akuma?"

"Yeah, but I have something to talk to you about. I- I'm not going to flirt anymore. I found someone... So-"

"Don't worry Chat, me too. Shall we?"

"I- Uh-"

He then shared a determined smile with ladybug.

"You got it, m'lady."

The battle with the akuma had lasted well into the evening. Marinette raced home, landing inside her room with grace and detransforming.

That's when she noticed Luka waiting for her in her room.
