Chapter 2

Caroline's P.O.V

''I'm going, adios bitches.'' Brooke yelled. 

''Bye honey.'' I said. ''Peyton, I'm also going.'' I said with a smile.

''Okay doke.'' Peyton answered.

I made my way towards the pursche, ''I'm at a payphone trying to call home, all of my change I spent.'' My phone started ringing. ''Hello?'' I said without seeing the caller ID.

''Hey love, where are you?'' Zachery said from the other side of the line.

''Oh, hi. Just leaving for work. What make you call so early?'' I asked in amusement. 

''So am I supposed to have reasons to call my girlfriend?'' I smiled at his whiming reply. He was quite cheerful today.

''Nope, I didn't mean that. So.. What's up?'' I said while walking towards the car.

''Oh nothing. You're free for lunch?'' He asked in a childish tone.

''Yep.'' I popped 'P.'

''Okay so see you at one.'' He hanged the phone excitedly.

I drove towards my office and after 10 minutes drive, I reached there.

''Good Morning Ma'am. You're coffee and the schedule for today. On your table in no time.'' Lucy, my personal assistant said with a welcoming smile and I made my way towards my master cabin on returning her smile. I had two meetings today.

''Auuhhh, seems like I'm gonna have a tiresome day.'' I spoke tto myself and lucy entered in.

''Ma'am, Mr. Lonegood is here for the meeting. Lucy said.

''Okay I'll be there in a minute.'' I replied and started to collect my documents for the presentation. If I get this deal today. My company will get enormous benefits. 

                                                                                               *After 4 hours*

Finally after the the tireful month I signed this deal. I was quite happy. When I opened the door of my office, I saw a very frious Zachery standing near the window. I looked at the clock and it was 2:00. CRAPP! I mentally cursed myself.

''Look who finally decided to show up.'' Zachery spatted at me.

''Zach! I'm sorry, I was in a meeting.'' I said.

''The same old excuse. You know, I've been waiting for you for an hour. We were supposed to have lunch at 1:00 and look what the time is!'' He yelled.

''I was in a meeting, I swear. I lost track of time. It was an important one.'' I whispered.

''Aren't all the meetings important for you? I'm trying to work out this relationship but you on the other hand, are destroying it.'' His voice coming in a higher tone with every next word. I moved towards him and placed my hands on his chest.

''I'm also trying Zach, I really am! You know I've been waiting so hard for Mr. Good's company to sign the contract and get this Tender.'' I whispered.

''You only think about yourself, I don't think this relationship can work out. I'm sorry.'' He whispered while kissing my forehead. 

''Zachery, we can try. We can make things work.'' I pleaded, my vision blurred. 

''I'm sorry Caroline but I don't think so.'' He spoke while going out of the office.

''ZACH PLEASE!'' I yelled on top of my lungs.
