Chapter 17

***Carter's P.O.V.***

After an hour of waiting for Austin to call back, I gave up and got ready to go out.

"Where are you going?" Alex had asked. I shrugged and put my hoodie up so it could cover part of my face.

"I'll be back later. I just need some fresh air." I said right before I closed the door.

Just as I walked out of the building and into the busy streets of Miami, it started raining.

"Great, just great," I muttered to myself. I turned around to go back into the apartment, but instead, I ran into somebody.

"Watch where you're going!" I automatically snapped. I squinted my eyes and looked up. It was just Austin.

"Well maybe you should-" Austin stopped when he realized it was me. "Hey, Carter. I didn't know you were staying here!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah but I was just about to go back inside." I gestured to the pouring rain.

"You should come to the mall with me. I'm meeting someone that you might wanna see." He suggested. I shrugged and nodded. It would probably just be one of his friends.

We walked to Austin's Range Rover and drove off. I took off my hoodie, revealing my face and my slightly damp hair.

"So, why are you here in Miami?" Austin asked, trying to break the awkward silence.

"Well it's fall break so, Alex and I decided to take a short trip and get out of that boring state." I explained. He nodded and turned on the wind shield wipers.

"So have you seen that 'Dave' guy around?" He asked. I was slightly taken back by his question.

"Nah, I guess he got what he wanted so he just moved on." I shrugged.

"Anyways," I said, trying to change the subject. "Are you excited for the tour?"

"Yeah, I'm stoked. I heard they added some more groups. I think one is Fifth Harmony and the other is 5 Seconds Of Summer. I checked out 5 Seconds Of Summer, and their music is really good. I still have to check out the other group though," He took a left turn and entered the mall parking lot.

We got out of the car and started walking towards the entrance. Some people were staring and pointing at us but I couldn't tell if it was because we were twins or because Austin was "famous".

I put my hoodie back up when they started pulling out their phones and taking pictures. Then out of no where, I heard dozens of high pitched screams. Two security men rushed to us and blocked us from the screaming girls.

"Where are you heading to?" One of the security guys asked. I looked at Austin but he just stood there, thinking. Then he whispered something into the mans ear.

The man nodded and started making a way for us. I tried looking around to see where we were going, but all I could see were girls screaming and crying.

Damn, Austin is pretty famous...

Finally after walking for what seemed like hours -but was probably only a few minutes- we arrived to Champs.

I'm not really surprised that Austin would pick this store.

The weird thing was that there was already people surrounding it.

We made our way through the door and went in. I looked back and saw girls and some guys through the glass.

"Hey Austin." I heard a familiar female voice say. I don't know why but my stomach started feeling weird. I haven't felt like this in a long time.
