I do not own any of the Big Bang Theory characters in this story. However, I do own any characters I have added.

-

Most of these fanfictions focus on Sheldon, Amy, Shamy or science and romance in general.

Enjoy, please!

This story, however, takes place during season nine.

The Silence Hypothesis

Chapter One - What happened?

(Sheldon's point of view)

As I slowly start to wake up, I am quickly blinded by the lights before I realize where I am.

I'm in the Emergency Room.

I look to my left and see Amy. I look to my right and see Leonard.

I'm on a gurney and we are moving.

Funny. I thought the ER would be louder that this. Must be a quiet day.

I look at Amy again. She glances at me for a moment while I blink slowly.

"Sheldon?" She mouths, "Sheldon, you're awake."

"Yes, I am." I whisper quietly.

But not quietly enough as Leonard gets my attention.

"Hey Sheldon," He mouths as well, "How are you doing?"

I wonder why they aren't speaking to me louder, so I can hear them.

"Good." I continue to whisper quietly, "Why am I in the Emergency Room?"

"We don't know. Some people found you on the street and called 911. Leonard and I were quickly contacted after the people looked at your emergency contacts." Amy continues to mouth.

"Why was I in the street?"

"I thought you would help us answer that question." Leonard mouths.

A worried look was on Amy and Leonard's faces for a second before it disappeared. "Don't you remember anything that happened?"

"I've remembered everything since I was four months old. If you give me a second, I can try to remember why I was in the street in the first place."

I thought long and hard to what exactly happened just a short while ago. The longer it took me to think, Amy and Leonard's faces grew more and more worried.

"I'll tell you later. I would like to take a nap now." I decided since I was starting to fall asleep anyway.

"Umm, ok." Leonard mouths.

"Sleep tight." Amy mouths, "Don't worry. The next time you'll wake up, you probably will be in a hospital bed, surrounded by your closest friends and maybe family."

"Thanks." I whispered with my eyes slowly falling, "I'll see you guys later."

I'm sure they said bye to me, but I'm not sure because I was soon fast asleep.
