What a beautiful day it's been...
Joanne really did a brilliant job on the event. Everything has gone according to plan - no nasty surprises, which makes me really happy. Almost everyone we had invited made it, and I'm pleased to see that all our guests are enjoying themselves. The food is great, the music is better, the cake is simply phenomenal...
And my new wife?
She's perfect.
I sit at one of the guest tables sipping on sparkling wine as I watch her dance on the floor with Tito's boys - all three of them. They bop up and down to the groovy music, all of their hands joined so that they're dancing in one big circle of four with matching white Chuck Taylor's, and they have the widest grins of joy on their faces. I can't help but smile, too.
"Wanna dance?" I hear Janet's voice cut off my train of thought. I grin at her.
"Yeah, let's do it," I say before setting my glass down on the table and standing up to join her on the floor. I feel like a kid again as we do the same steps we did so many times when we were younger. Before I know it, almost all the guests have made a circle around us to watch as we dance. Judging by the look on her face, Janet is just as surprised as I am that we both still remember this routine. Both of us are also in shock that we're having just as much fun now as we did back then, if not more. The music comes to a stop when we finish, and the air is filled with cheers and applause. I give Janet a big hug before the disc jockey puts a slow record on. Just then, Jeffrey appears behind Janet.
"May I have this dance, Miss Jackson?" he asks her smoothly.
"Yes, you may," she giggles as Jeffrey takes her hand and leads her in a slow dance. It isn't two seconds before I feel a tap on my shoulder. I spin around to see my new bride staring at me with those bright hazel green eyes.
I give her a small smile.
"Mrs. Jackson," I start, taking her hand in mine before kissing her ring. "Would you do me the honor of sharing this dance?"
"I'd love to," she whispers before I pull her closer to me. Her arms wrap around my shoulders and I put my hands on her curvaceous hips as we start to sway to the soft music. Looking her deep in the eyes, I'm rendered speechless by so many things, yet I can describe it all in a single sentence - the gorgeous woman I'm holding in my arms, who won my heart from the second I first saw her, has not only made me the happiest man alive by becoming my wife, but is also giving me a child, and the joy of fatherhood is the best gift that a woman could give a man.
I love her so much.

"Thank you so much for coming today," Michael says politely to the lady standing in front of us with big black hair, bright brown eyes and a stunning red dress with the perfect shade of lipstick to match.
"It truly was an honour to have you here, Ms Ross," I add shyly.
"Come on, honey," she laughs. "It was my absolute pleasure. And there's no need to be so formal, sweetheart - call me Diana."
I look up at Michael nervously, and he pulls me closer to him with a chuckle before speaking again.
"Thank you again, Diana."
"You're most welcome," she smiles. "And congratulations once again on your pregnancy."
"Thank you very much," I blush. "And congratulations to you as well, Diana."
