"Will you have a contract with me child? I would be able to get you out of here like you wished," the dark, malicious voice questioned the bloodied girl on the ground.

The dark figure's dark eyes were lifeless and bored as he stared at the child that looked up at him with unwavering eyes.

'Another pitiful soul I shall devour after I fulfill her wish, just like I have been doing for thousands of years' the male thought as he waited for his victim's response.

"No."

The males dark eyes widen in shock as he heard the surprisingly stern answer come from the child.

His eyes narrowed as he spoke once again, "I could get you out of this cold place and provide you with a warm drink and freshly cooked food."

His eyes became taunting as he sadistically smiled at the silent child, "Were you not humiliated when you were fed like a dog? Would you not like to have revenge on those who engraved that mark into you?" The male questioned as he eyed the bright red burn that was visible on her waist, "Your parents were killed in front of your own eyes, don't you wish revenge on them? Make them suffer like you did..."

The young female stayed silent as she continued to stare up at the strange looking man. She curiously eyed the feline ears on his head and his narrow eyes, and then to his mouth where she could clearly see sharp teeth that filled it.

"Do you not want to make them suffer like they did you? I could easily kill them for you," the man tried once again, though his tone was irritated and you could see the annoyance in his eyes.

"Why would I do such a thing? If I make a contract with a demon like you, I will surely die by you eating my soul after you get my revenge. Then should I not just wait and let fate decide it's course for me? There is still a chance I could escape here without the help of a demon," the small lavender haired child questioned at she smiled lightly at the dark powerful demon in front of her.

The demon's mouth dropped open in shock as he listened to the rather wise words the female muttered. Though he inwardly smirked as he took a step closer to the dirty child.

The small girl stoically stared at the dangerous man in front of her but truthfully she was terrified out of her mind.

At first when she saw the man, she thought he was there to rescue the other children and her. Though that thought quickly escaped her mind as she saw his features. No regular human being has cat ears and sharp black nails like his.

Her young mind quickly thought of possible theories, a soul reaper, maybe he is here to collect the soul of the dead children? No, that can't be it, she has read in books that soul reapers had a special weapon of their own. His man was not holding anything. Definitely not an angel, no angel can look so malicious and dark.

That only left one other choice.

A demon.

And as soon as he spoke about a contract, she was sure he was a demon. She knew demons were the only mythical creative to have contacts with humans. Getting the demon to grant you a wish in exchange of your soul.
And she was definitely not planning on dying any time soon, she was going to escape this place and survive.

She needed to as the last Vandenberg...

"Interesting, you don't see a human that is able to resist the temptation everyday," the demon chuckled as he crouched down so he was eye leveled with the child, "I have been rather bored just eating souls for thousands of years.... Why not we make a deal, child?"

The small female's dark amethyst eyes narrowed in suspicion as she gave the demon in front of her a look. She knew demons aren't ones to make deals.

They made contacts and then they ate their victims soul, no less, no more...

"I'll have a contract with you, but instead of you giving me your soul, you'll have to entertain me...."

The child's eyes widen in surprise, her small mouth opening slightly, "What do you mean?

The demon chuckled as he noticed that the girl was finally interested in him, "It rather gets boring just collecting souls from greedy humans. I can't remember the last time someone," he paused as he took his black gloves off his hands with his sharp teeth, "Much less an human interests me," the demon finished as he took the small child face into his hand, his thumb running across her bruised cheek. He chucked when he noticed the human didn't flinch or look away from him or his cold touch and look.

"As much as I would like to eat your unique soul, I feel that the entertainment you will give me would make up for it..."

The child had a calculating look in her eyes. She was well aware that the amount of children in the cage were decreasing. She was also aware that the sick minded adults were leaving her for the last...

"Is there anything else behind that contract?" She finally questioned as she gently took the demon's hand off of her face.

The demon's eyes filed with humor as he snickered slightly, "Clever child, you must provide me with a soul every so often."

The child frowned but nodded in agreement.

"Mr. Demon, I will have a contract with you, as long as I am safe and alive, our contact shall exist."

"Excellent!" he cackled as he clapped his hands in delight, he raised his hands in the air and swiped it.
In shock the child sat there as the iron cage that surrounded her collapsed to the ground.

Though she made no attempt to move. Her body was too weakened...

She suddenly felt rather small and weak as she looked up at the dark male in front of her. Her confidence that she showed earlier seeming to have deflate out of her body.

Surprisingly the demon placed a hands in front of her, "What is your name my lady?" he questioned, his tone slightly mocking.

At first the girl hesitantly took the hands but seconds later she gripped it tightly as if it was her life line.

"Acacia Vandenberg."
