Weiss was running to the edge of Beacon, Ruby on her tail, panting as she did.
"Weiss, what's going on?! Who is it? Who is 'she'?" Ruby asked. Weiss just kept smiling and watch as the ship's doors opened.
"Winter" Weiss answered.
"Your sister?" Ruby realised, seeing a girl that was about Weiss' age, maybe older. Her hair colour was the same as Weiss', white as snow, except she had it tied in a bun. She wore more smarter clothing than Weiss as well.
"Winter!" Weiss called, running to her sister. "It's so good to see you! I-"
Weiss then remembered that her family had standards when greeting each other. She dropped her exciting attitude and curtsied.
"Your presence honours us" She calmly said. Ruby then turned to Winter, who had hands behind her back and no expression of emotion whatsoever.
"Beacon" Winter spoke, looking around. "It's been a long time. The air feels...different"
"Well, it is Fall. So the air's probably a bit colder" Ruby thought that that was what Winter was talking about. Weiss saw that Ruby was making a bad first impression and punched her in the back, making the poor fifteen year old stay on her knees.
"So, what brings you here?" Weiss smiled.
"Classified" Winter answered.
"Oh. How long are you staying?" Weiss tried again.
"Classified" Winter answered again, with more tone.
"Of course" Weiss understood, staying silent right after. Nothing but the distant voices of students filled the air, until Ruby broke the silence.
"Well, this is nice...I think" Ruby nervously added. Weiss could not hold the calm attitude in and blurted out to her sister...
"You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but Beacon is so much different from Atlas! (Vale to). Plus, the government and school are completely separate! Can you believe it!"
"I am mor than familiar with how this kingdom handles its...bureaucracy" Winter squinted, turning back to Weiss. "That is NOT why I came"
"Right, I'm sorry" Weiss looked down in shame.
"Nor did I come to watch my own blood fail so miserably in battle" Winter added, making Weiss feel even more ashamed. "But, I don't see that I have a choice"
"But...we won!" Weiss argued.
"Only a novice would count THAT as a victory" Winter glared. "I counted at least THREE strikes missed"
Winter saw the shame on her sister's face. She knew she had to nice to her, even if she saw her as a potential failure.
"Leave us" Winter ordered, making the robots move back. "How have you been?"
"Oh, I've been splendid, thank you for asking. I'm actually top leading in our sparring class" Weiss explained. "My studies are going well too, I've been currently-"
Weiss could not finish her sentence, due to being slapped in the head by Winter. It left quite a numb on her head.
"Silence, you boob!" Winter commanded. "I didn't about how well your studies have been going, I asked about 'how you've been'. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Have you made any new friends?"
"Well...there's, Ruby" Weiss answered. Ruby snickered and pushed Weiss' bump back into her head.
"'Boob'" Ruby repeated. Winter saw that Weiss making friends with Ruby was probably not the best idea.
