The Beauty in a Black Sky

Introduction

Life is difficult sometimes, things can happen. Not always necessarily always good things; these certain things can lead to depression
, anxiety, and many other negative, overwhelming emotions; for Rick, life is very hard. His parents divorced at a young age, he lives with his mom and goes to his dad's on the weekends, his brother died in a car accident, he gets bullied a lot in school, and his family has low income and low on money because his parents' business went bankrupt. He is sad a lot and his soul is blacker than a dark sky. Life is just tough for Rick.   
     Rick is twenty-three and a senior at his high school. He is twenty-three and still in school because he dropped out of 9th grade when he was fifteen and picked back up in school when he was seventeen, but got held back a couple times in his high school year. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, and bright white teeth. Rick has a case of Tourettes syndrome, and when he was born he was diagnosed with Lung cancer due to his mother's overuse of drugs while pregnant, he recovered over a couple years. He gets bullied for his Tourettes, and for his short height because of his birth defect. He is only 5'5.
     He enjoys his school band as a percussionist but sometimes he plays the incorrect notes because of his sudden flinches due to his Tourettes. At home he does photography, his friends always compliment him on how good his photos look, but he doubts that they are good photos. He has very few friends because of people judging him for his medical conditions. His very few friends mean the world to him. When he finishes high school he wants to become a famous photographer. His brother did photography; his brother was a professional photographer and he inspired Rick to be a photographer.
    Rick's brother was actually on his way to a wedding shoot when he crashed his car, the family was devastated, the wedded couple were egotistical and rude, they wanted a refund even though they knew that he died. The couple knew the family was poor, and they didn't care that his brother died. They were just a very greedy couple that only wanted money. Rick was enraged and sued the couple. The couple won the case and Rick's parents had to pay, even though they couldn't. Rick has to work at McDonalds to try to gain enough money to pay the debt. He works the night shift from eleven o'clock pm to four o'clock am. After his shift he gets an hour of sleep until five o'clock am, that's when he gets up and gets ready for school. Rick is very tired most of the time. This causes him to not be able to focus and he doesn't get very good grades.This has caused him to be bullied even more. He is a very sensitive person and getting bullied a lot doesn't help that.
    Sometimes Rick just needs his downtime, alone and isolated, away from people. That's why Rick spends most of his time at the park to take pictures and to relax. The park is a very beautiful place with trees and plenty of wildlife. He enjoys being alone, he is very shy. Rick is an emotionally tough individual, even though his instinct is to always push others away, he is very emotionally strong.
   Rick has lots of wishes and dreams; he knows most of them will not come true. But what he truly wants is true love. He wants someone who will love him forever, someone who will help him through his hardships, someone who will love him for who he is. He just wishes for true love.
