The loss of a Hero, pt 1

(So a few things, this chapter has been emotionally the hardest for me to write so it's taken a while to get the emotions just the way I want them, as much as y'all hate it I do enjoy making my readers wrapped up in their feels. And secondly I waited to release because I did have a few readers message me asking me to postpone a bit before releasing the next chapter so they can focus on finals lol I get it, I hope everyone passed! 💜)

You looked around the scene unsure of what you were seeing. Broken trees littered the sidewalks and even some were splintered to nothing, shattered glass lay in the streets, rubble from buildings in every path way. You look on seeing a barely standing man and go to call out but nothing comes out. You begin walking toward the man but as you walked closer he seemed to get farther away. You began running only for him to turn... Yagi... the thought entered your mind and you saw his eyes widen as he made eye contact with you, he opened his mouth and you could see him double over coughing he looked up again reached out to you. You watched as the shadow figure slowly turned to follow Yagis eyes. The red soulless glare ripped through your chest, stopping you dead in your tracks, in a matter of seconds the shadow was standing in front of you breathing heavily it reached a hand toward your swollen pregnant stomach. All Mightssssss ssssssspawn.... the sickening sound hissed as it shoved it shadowy hand pierced your stomach. You ran as quickly as your waddling body would allow you to and could only glance over your shoulder in time you could feel the hit to your side as you flew into the remains of  a building in the Kamino Ward. You gasped sharply and looked down at your broken leg and could feel the pain causing you to let out a scream, your hands flew to your stomach instantly and fluttered with the fabric in a panic before you pulled your shirt up exposing your post pregnant body. Your head shook as the figure grew closer backing you into the corner of the building, you desperately called for help and made eye contact with All Might as he ran toward you, you gave him a solemn smile and mouthed that you loved him before feeling the creature rip your heart out of your chest. In your last fleeting moments you watched as All Might dropped to his knees with a bellow...

The ending jolted you awake to the sound of beeping machines, your heart racing a mile a minute, I'm still in the hospital, the thought crossed your mind. Your hands quickly went down to your still pregnant belly and you let out a shaky sigh of relief. A light tap on the door made you jump, a nurse walked in with paperwork.
"Ms. L/N? Hi I'm here with your discharge paperwork, we are going to get this filled out and send you on your way! Do you have a ride?" The perky woman asked, you shook your head slowly.

"I- I can make a few calls but so far no I don't have a ride." You spoke softly, almost unfeeling. "The uh, the meds they gave me... what did they do?" You asked swinging your feet of the side of the bed slowly.

"They were mild sedatives to help with you sleep and calm down, a SSRi for y-" your head snapped up.

"I'm. Pregnant. And. You. Gave. Me. A. SSRi. Without. My. Consent?" You spoke each word carefully and clearly, the anger building in every cell of your body, you could feel your body almost vibrating.

"N-now Ms. L-L/N-" the nurse stuttered out, objects around you started to shake the more angry you got. The door swung open but no one came in.

"Now that was at the request of your beau." A voice spoke but no man stood there. "Oh pardon! Down here dear woman." You watched as a rodent creature climbed over the foot of the bed.
"Nezu..." you said bitterly making the creature look up and make eye contact.
"You are correct, I will be escor-"
"Where is Yagi?" You cut him off staring him down.

You watched his ear twitch as he nodded for the nurse to leave. The nurse quickly left as the frequency in the room became more urgent causing a few glass containers to crack. You watched as the creature sat on the edge and simply stared you down the same way.

"What do you want?" You asked almost spitting the sentence out, he was the last person or animal you had wanted to see.
"As I was saying, I'm here to escort you home at the request of Yagi." He started matter of factly, fixing his tie. "He has requested I stay with you for the moment-"

"Where is he?" You asked once more, you could almost feel the energy humming in the room. You watched as this peaked his interest.

"Oh my! You are as strong as he says!" You watched a sparkle in the mouses eye. "I have been asked not to say-" the sound of a container shattering against the wall paused his sentence. "Now F/N, no amount of these tactics will scare me." The creature moved closer and his eyes almost seemed to glow. "I may be small but you have no idea what I'm capable of." The sound of his voice changed almost making you wince. You watched as he plopped himself down on the edge, "For your safety, Y/N, I can not tell you. He asked me to make sure you're safe. I intend to keep you that way." He changed almost instantaneously back to his professional teaching self.

"So I'm a prisoner." You said full of irritation, you stood slowly holding your barely protruding belly.

"It's up to you how you see it, I personally have a school to run and have no time to hold your hand." The rodent spoke clearly. "I will simply give you my number, you have things to do I'm sure. You're an art student aren't you? Go to class." His judgmental teacher voice caught under your skin. "I will escort you home and then you will be done with me unless you need something." He said walking promptly to the door, "Please make yourself decent and we will leave."

The door clicked shut and the irritation started to bubble up causing things on the wall to shake slightly, you took a few deep breaths in your nose and out your mouth calming yourself down. You slowly pulled up your pants and pulled your shirt over your head. There was another knock and the perky nurse from before walked in, "Ms. L-L/N? I need a signature." She held the clip board out to you and you sign furiously. She quickly walked out and you behind her.

"Shall we?" You heard the voice of Nezu and felt your eyes roll hard before turning to him and looking down.

This is going to be a long day....

You finally reached your apartment and could feel the stagnant air from vacancy for the last few days.  You opened a window and checked the time.

9:26 am

I still have time to shower and make it to class, I'm going to have to stay late to make up what I missed the last few days... the thought made you groan. You jumped in the shower and cleaned the sterile hospital smell out of your hair. You heard the skittering anxious sound from Monkeys cage and quickly dropped a few treats in his cage before grabbing you bag and heading out the door. You make it to the stairs and jump slightly when you see Nezu sitting there.

"I did say I was escorting you. Where are we going?" He asked cheerily.

"You also said you were a teacher and didn't have time for this. I'm going to school to make up working." You state waking around him on the stairs.

"Then I'll take you. I got a call from some parents and I need to handle them anyway, your university is only a few blocks away from UA." He replied flowing you down the steps.

You sigh as a car pulls up in front of you. The driver gets out and comes to open the door for you. Nezu hops around you and slides to the seat furthest and you sigh before begrudgingly getting in. The ride to the school was anything but quiet. Nezu stayed on his phone, he spoke softly so you couldn't make anything out. When you finally arrived to the school the driver got out and raced around to your door. "Ms. Y/N, please stay safe. For Yagi." His voice seemed concerned and you nodded in response. "Please watch over him Nezu. He doesn't tell me anything." You say softly, he began to speak again before the door opened,
"If you need anything, please call." He ended professionally with a heavy look in his beady eyes. You nodded before getting out, the driver closed the door behind you and quickly ran back, you watched as the black car drove away, you couldn't help but feel your stomach. You're heart aching, you head up the steps to the university and never anticipated what was coming next.
