Finally

Vea's POV

Hearing my alarm clock, I woke up and tried to get out of my bed when I notice 4 little hands wrapped around my waist. I smiled at the sight of my little sisters, but, my smile vanished when I remembered what happened yesterday.

When I already realized that I still have my class today, I slowly removed my sisters' hands away from me so that I wont wake them up.

After removing their hands I went in front of my full length mirror and looked at the wounds from yesterday's incident, that's when I noticed that the house was silent because usually my mother will be blabbering about nonsense at this early, but, I just shrugged the thought, thinking that she went to the hospital early and went to my walk in closet.

I chose a plain white Nike shirt, white jeans, black Skechers and a grey sweater for my outfit. I went to the bathroom quickly after I picked my clothes and took a 5 minute shower.

As I finish my shower, I changed into the clothes that I selected and went straight to the kitchen to cook breakfast but when I was already near the stairs, I noticed that my mother's room was open so I decided to sneak inside and when I came inside her room I was shocked to see that it was empty but what surprised me was the letter lying on top of her bed.

I took the letter and read it.

Dear Vea,

By the time you read this I would probably be with my boyfriend plus I would like you to know that your father will never come back for you guys because he is now staying with his new family.

I laughed sarcastically knowing that she would leave us for her boyfriend but what caught me off guard was the fact that my father left us for his new family.

My senses came back when I remembered that I need to cook breakfast and that made me run immediately towards our kitchen.

I checked the time and was shocked because it's already 7:00 am and my first class will be on 8:00 am.

I quickly dialed the number of my grandma and told her to come here so that there will be someone to look after my sister but because I'm out of time I just prepared cereals for myself.

After finishing my breakfast I went to my room to get my things and noticed that my sisters are still asleep.

I kissed my sisters and ran fastly when I heard the doorbell ring. I opened the door to be greeted by my grandma.

"Hello Granny", I said and kissed her cheeks.

"Hello Dear, where are your sisters?", she asked.

" They are still asleep upstairs ", I answered.

" Uhmmmm Granny, I will go now so I won't be late for school and I will be back later", I told her.

"Ok Dear, Take Care", she said.

Before I get inside of my car I mumbled

Finally......

I'm free from my abusive mother......
