Chapter 1
Fault
Vea's POV
It's been one month since the accident happened ,but until now Sophie's and my new born sister Khyla's condition is still critical because their lungs are not yet that strong to endure the amount of smoke that they inhaled ,they also received first degree burns and some bruises.
I only received a second degree burns, some bruises and a fractured backbone, I'm fine though,I was slowly healing compared to my sisters.
I woke up from my sleep, hearing the sound of the door opening .I looked at the door to see my parents.
Mom Dad, may I ask you a question?? I asked, my voice course and soar.
My dad just nodded in response but my mom looked like she had heard nothing, her face blank.
It looked like something sucked the ever living life out of her body.
Do you know the cause of the fire?? I asked.
My father looked at me hesitantly "You don't have to know", my father said calmly.
"Please, tell me,I want to know", I insisted.
My mother's facial expression now filled with anger and hatred "You wanna know why the fire started!?! It's because of your stupid laptop which was left charged at the corner of our kitchen that caused the fire", my mom growled, anger laced in her voice.
I flinched, shocked that the fire had started because of my laptop.
My mom stomped out of the room and left me there with my thoughts, she left me there guilt creeping up my whole body.
'It was because of me'...
After a few weeks, I was discharged from the hospital . thankfully my sisters' condition were slowly getting better.
I just couldn't shake off the fact that, it was my stupid nature that had caused the fire.
'It was My fault'
