Midtown High is doing a Hero appreciation day. Peter decided to 2 important hero's. He has a 2 days to write a speech.
Day 1:
Peter sat on his bed. He had a paper and pen in front of him.
"Lets start with who it is about" Peter spoke to himself.
As Peter thought about them he started to cry. He was full on sobbing and didn't stop. Even when Clint and Pepper came to calm him down, he just couldn't stop.
Day 2:
Peter sat on the couch with the same pen and paper from last time. He started to write.
These people are the real hero's. They helped st-
A tear leaned on his paper. He had to stop working on his speech it was to much for him to handle . He cried for a few, letting silent years drop.
Day of the Here Appreciation Day
All the Seniors of Midtown High sat in the auditorium. The Avengers sat in the first 2 rows. One by one Kids went up and said their speech. The Avengers let tears slip when the fallen hero's were spoken of. Next was Peter.
"My speech is about The Black Widow and Iron Man
Iron Man is the best. It's a suit that helps the real hero fly and protect earth and sometimes space. Now Tony Stark is the hero. He is so much more than his suit. He escaped a cave by building a suit out of a box of scraps, he stopped his weapons from falling into the wrong hands, he had the idea to put the missile in space, back in 2012. He stop the Mandarian. He stopped earth from exploding. He did his best to keep the Avengers together back in 2016. It didn't go as plan but he still had half of the team with him. He stopped Thanos. He put the gauntlet on and he snapped his fingers to bring us back. We owe him so much. Buts it too late for that"
Peter started to cry. He looked at the Avengers and saw them in tears.
"Now Black Widow. She helped form the Avengers. Getting Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. She helped stop the attack on New York. She, with 4 other's, helped stopped HYDRA from killing millions of people. She helped make sure that were safe and off the floating rock. She did everything she can to make sure the Avengers never split. Things don't go as planned. She fought against Thanos doing her best. During the 5 years, that some of us were gone, she helped kids that had no parents by going to orphanages and talking to them. She went back in time to get a stone. One of the 6 infinity stone's. The Soul Stone. She gave her soul for the- the stone.
We lost very valuable people. We lost fa-family. They risked their life evryday and you people never truly treated them right"
At the end Peter fell to the floor crying. Clint quickly ran up to the stage. He ran to Peter and hugged him, pulling him close to his body.
"Its going to be ok" Clint reassured.
Peter shook his head. "No it's not, I want my mom and uncle back. I didn't even get to say goodbye"
The room stood quite and watched what was happening.
Clint rubbed his back letting a few tears fall. The other Avengers walked on to stage to get Clint and Peter. But Peter wouldn't move.
"This is all my fault... I'm the reason they are both gone" Peter sobbed more.
Clint stopped rubbing his back and made Peter look at him. "How in the world, is this your fault"
Pete let more tears fall. "I didn't do all I can when I fought against Thanos. I- I had the gauntlet in my hand but it slipped"
Clint slapped Peters cheek. "None of this is your fault. There is no way in hell it is. We all tired out hardest. None of us were ready for him to come. So don't blame yourself for any of this"
Peter sniffles. "But"
"No buts"
Peter looked to the floor. "Can we go home please?"
Clint nodded while getting. He put a hand out to help Pete get up. "When we get home we can eat some ice cream, ok?"
As the Avengers leave the auditorium, Wanda speaks up. "We kinda told the whole room that Peter is the son of the Black Widow"
Peter just shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well, at least they know I'm the son of a bad ass"
Wanda let out a little chuckle.
When they got to the Tony's lake house, they all sat in the living room watching movies and eating down ice cream, enjoying each other's company.
