Reaching Stonebridge just as the bell went, Levi swiftly shoved his way through the crowds on as he went to his English Literature class. He knew both Rosie and Katherine were in that class, and steeling himself to answer any of the latter's questions with lies.

He hated lying to Katherine, but both Rosie and him were well aware that she was much safer not knowing about the supernatural. To know was to be victimised, and to be a victim of the supernatural often led to death.

Seating himself in his usual seat, on the second to back row in the middle, where Rosie and Katherine would sit either side of him, and began to get all of his books out - this year, they'd been told to purchase A Midsummer Night's Dream - and his notepad and pencil case.

A few moments after him, Rosie Meyers made her appearance, and despite himself, Levi couldn't help but feel his breath leave him. He didn't know when he'd started this all consuming crush on Rosie, but he didn't think it would truly ever end.

She wore a light yellow top, which he thought contrasted her dark skin in a flattering manner, with a denim jacket over the top paired with a denim skirt. Levi didn't care what they said about double denim, Rosie could make anything look like it should be on a supermodel on a runway.

He longed to run his hand through her wildly curly hair which had, unsuccessfully, been tried to be pulled back into a pony tail.

Rosie gave him a brilliant smile as she took the seat to his left, and he felt breathless. It almost made him forget about the events of yesterday, the bite, the fire. Almost. He looked down at his hands, and didn't even see a burn mark there.

There was nothing, and he felt at a loss.

Finally, the second bell went and the teacher, their Headteacher and Rosie's father in fact, walked in - proclaiming that he would be taking this class due to Mrs. Marland's sudden illness and how he would be taking the class as he used to teach Literature.

Levi laughed as Rosie dramatically smacked her face against the desk, unbothered by Mr. Meyers' glower at her for making too much noise.

Then, there was only the late arrivers to appear.

Predictably, Darron Woodstone and his girlfriend, Anya Grey, were late. Darron supported messy sandy blonde hair and lipstick and Anya's own lipstick was smeared and the same colour as the shade that adorned Darron with a hickey on her neck.

He saw Rosie rolling her eyes at them as they moved across the classroom to sit together on the back row, a smiling Anya offering a half-apology to Mr. Meyers, who surely would have obliterated them if looks could kill.

With a jolt of fear, Levi remembered that Mr. Meyers was a supernatural hunter too. He was surrounded. If he created fire once more, or if they saw the still residing bite mark on his torso, then not only would Rosie have the chance of killing him, but Mr. Meyers certainly would.

The fear on his face must have shown, as Rosie leaned over, concern painted on her lovely face, as she asked of Levi, "are you okay?"

He nodded quickly, and turned away, despite Rosie's concerned glance.

Just as he did so, he heard something smack, very hard, against the closed door leading to the classroom and a loud cry of pain. Almost the entire class snickered, Darron the loudest of them all, as a ruffled, red-faced Katherine made her way into the classroom looking sheepish.

A fond smile played on Levi's face, and he saw the same on Rosie's, as the clumsy Katherine cautiously and ungracefully moved herself around the classroom to get to her seat on Levi's right, muttering an apology to Mr. Meyers.
