"Why do we have to babysit someone like her?" Complained Naruto who was sitting on the floor with his back against the wall. I was beside him, but I preferred having to stand with my back leaned up against the wall.

Neji, Lee, and Sakura were seated on the tatami mats with Taruho kneeled in front of them as he bowed his head down.

"I hope you'll forgive her. Lady Shion often has precognition about people's deaths. But please don't let it bother you."

"Oh I get it. So that means she's wrong huh," piped up Naruto with a smirk on his face, knowing that the priestess's stupid precognitive or whatever was entirely wrong.

"Actually up until today, she's been 100% correct," stated Taruho. This surprised us all. Knowing the fact that she's never been wrong about anyone's death kinda left me uneasy.

"You see? Precognitions are never- wait what?!" Naruto quickly stood up and made his way in front of Taruho. "That means she's always been right?!"

"Yes," calmly replied Taruho who didn't seem fazed by Naruto's loud voice.

"But you just said not to let it bother me! How are (Y/n) and I not going to worry!"

"I meant that it's useless to let it bother you."

Naruto deadpanned at his words but Lee spoke up, "Um is that suppose to make them feel any better?"

"Well not exactly."

"Oh come on, cheer up Naruto. Maybe dying will rid you of your stupidity," giggled out Sakura. Naruto gritted his teeth and shot her a glare for finding something like that to be amusing.

"Try being in our shoes and then getting told you're going to die soon," I muttered under my breath with a scowl.

"Do not fear (Y/n)! I will protect you with my everlasting youth!" Passionately declared Lee with flames in his eyes and a fist in the air.

"Right, thanks Lee." I lowly mumbled out.

"Of course! The power of youth-"

"Give me a break Bushy Brows!" Blurted out Naruto at Lee before turning to face Taruho again. "There's no way I'm believing that precognition stuff! I'm gonna become Hokage! There's no way I'm gonna die before that happens!"

*Timeskip*

Taruho had stepped out of the room about twenty minutes ago and we were currently waiting for him to inform us about our departure. Unfortunately that wasn't happening anytime soon. Everyone's impatience was beginning to show as we waited for that man.

"How much longer are we going to wait? We're already wasting time," spoke Lee who was seated in front of Sakura while I was seated next to her. But Naruto was nowhere to be found.

"He insists on taking more men and wants us to wait until all preparations are made," sighed out Neji.

"We can't wait forever. Every minute that we have counts." With my legs crossed, I had my elbow propped on my leg and placed my hand under my chin.

"That's right, but-" Neji was interrupted by the shōji door being slid open. We were expecting Taruho to enter, but it was only Naruto who had a piece of steel that was covering his chest and back. It was being held by a string of rope that was hung around his neck and another one that was tied around his torso.

"Look! Now the sharpest spear won't pierce through me!"

"Naruto, do you really think that's gonna help you?" You asked the blonde.

"Of course!" He patted the sturdy piece of steel a few times with a large grin on his face.

"Naruto, it's pitiful if you're letting what the priestess said shake you." Neji disapprovingly stared at the blonde and his choice of armor that would supposedly save him.

"Yeah, but who knows maybe we can change it. I mean you proved Neji wrong back in the Chunin Exams by beating him even though he kept rambling on about how you were destined to lose. So it could be something similar to that."

"Don't remind me of that," Neji sighed out with a scowl evident on his face as he pinched the bridge of his nose, not wanting to relieve those memories.

"Yeah but this is DEATH, not a battle in the freaking Chunin Exams (Y/n)!" Cried out Naruto while flailing his arms in the air like a madman.

"Just take that thing off you look like an idiot," remarked Sakura.

"Hey! I'm only doing this because I figured you guys would be worried about me ever since you guys heard that I was going to die."

"I'm dying too you know, but you don't see me dressing up." Naruto shot me a small glare for my last comment, but didn't budge in removing what he had on.

"The world could be on the verge of destruction. We don't have time to worry about you!" Huffed out Sakura paying no heed to our teammate.

'Guess that applies to me as well. Thanks Sakura.'

Lee stood up from the ground and started leaning his face towards Naruto with his eyes already burning with youth and determination. "But Naruto, this is the time to give your life to protect someone very precious!"

"Lee, we barely met her. Believe me, she isn't someone who's precious to us. She's simply someone we have to escort," I stated but my words sounded a bit harsh.

"She's right. Our mission is to escort her there, nothing else," ended Neji with his arms crossed. Everyone nodded their heads, but Naruto's mind was still stuck on the priestess' vision.

"I'm still gonna change that silly precognition and save the world. Nothing will stop me!" Declared Naruto who was filled with determination.

"My precognitions cannot be changed." Shion quietly entered the room and instead of being dressed in her kimono, she was now wearing a light mustard colored jacket that seemed a bit too big for her in length seeing as it went down to her thighs. On her jacket, I noticed she wore the same lavender bell that she had pinned to her kimono on her right chest. She wore a white crop top and baggy red pants that were cuffed off at her knees.

She walked up towards Naruto and said, "Here's another one for you. You're going to be beheaded and die. And she's still going to meet the same fate as earlier."

This freaked the blonde out and he dashed out of the room and in a second, he came back fully covered in steel from head to toe.

"Come on (Y/n), I need to dress you too! It's literally a matter of life and death." He tried motioning me over with his hand to come join him, but his arm was somewhat restricted due to the steel tied around him.

"I'm not dressing up in pots and pans," I flat out said with my hands on my hips.

"You two can't change your fate." Shion used her index finger to push Naruto which resulted in him falling to the ground. He squirmed around and tried to lift himself up but he was unable to properly stand up with everything weighing him down.

"You shinobi, I'm ready to leave so follow me," she ordered as she walked out the room as we followed after her.

"HEY GUYS, WHAT ABOUT ME!"
