jeongguk watched sadly from the kitchen as taehyung comforted a hysterical jimin in his arms.

" — i don't know what to do, tae. i can't l-look at them w-without my heart b-breaking."

taehyung held jimin tighter, his hands running through jimin's hair in a soothing manner and jimin in response, buried his crying face into the crook of taehyung's neck, dampening taehyung's oversized sweatshirt.

"i-i didn't think i'd ever l-love anyone after h-her, tae. let alone t-two people," jimin sniffled.

"wait, you loved both of them? yoongi and hoseok?"

jimin weakly nodded.

"i-i don't know w-what i was thinking. t-they probably would think that i was d-disgusting, you probably think i-i'm d-disgusting," jimin whispered as he choked back a sob.

taehyung lifted jimin off him, and wiped away his tears with the pad of his thumb.

"hey, hey. chim, you're not disgusting, you're beautiful. they would be lucky to have you, minnie."

"y-you don't think it's weird, t-tae? that i w-want to be with both of t-them?"

"of course not, chim! i want just your happiness," taehyung reassured jimin as he pulled him back into his arms.

tired of just watching, jeongguk walked over to the pair and wrapped his arms around them, not really knowing what to say to comfort his close friend.

amidst the comfortable silence, jimin's phone kept buzzing with notifications.

jimin got off the couch and wiped away the rest of his tears.

"i should get home now, it's getting dark. thanks for listening to me," jimin said as he gave his friends a goodbye hug and headed towards the door.

"chim?"

jimin turned around to face the couple.

taehyung ran towards his best friend and put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"don't you ever forget that i love you, and that i'll always be here for you. i'll support you no matter what."

jimin smiled, touched by taehyung's sincerity.

"i love you too, tae."

and with that final goodbye, jimin walked out the door to return to his studio apartment, not knowing that he would soon regret the decision to leave taehyung's house that day.

i'm so so sorry for this really bad update (i'm not a very good writer) and that i haven't been updating as much but finals week is upon me and i'm so scared. anyways, i'll be on hiatus for about 3 weeks since i have finals and im heading off to japan soon after! thank you angels for supporting my story and as always, borahae 💜 also i have an idea for a new story, but i don't know if anyone would read it hahaha
