taehyung walked back to the dance practice room, where jeongguk was diligently working on the choreography for his upcoming comeback. as the music ended, taehyung walked up to jeongguk.
"gguk, i'm tired. i'm just going to go home now," he weakly smiled.
"o-oh? let's go then, let me just pack up my stuff-" jeongguk said, surprised at the sudden change of mood.
"no- i'm going to jimin's, by myself. you should stay here. you have a comeback coming soon, right? i'll see you at home-"
"w-wait, i'll drive you!" he interrupted.
"i'll take a taxi."
"o-ok, see you at home, then."
as taehyung turned his back and left the room, his t-shirt slipping just enough for jeongguk to catch a glimpse of purple amidst the sun-kissed tan skin that he loved so much. with every step, taehyung found it harder to hold his tears in.
'why didn't he tell me?'

"-ow, ow! that hurts!" taehyung winced as jimin cleaned his wounds with a damp cloth.
"well, hold still!" jimin demanded as he bandaged taehyung's cuts and placed ice over his bruises. "that snake really had the nerve. i can't believe jeongguk didn't say anything."
"me either," taehyung sighed. "he- he should have told me."

jeongguk waited impatiently for taehyung to come home and ran to the door when he came in.
"taebaby?"
taehyung smiled at jeongguk, saying nothing. he couldn't even look him in the eye. but jeongguk wasn't having any of it. he forcefully grabbed taehyung's wrist and pulled him into his arms.
"why- why aren't you talking to me, tae? why'd you leave early today? are you okay?" he questioned, desperation in his onyx eyes.
taehyung couldn't hold himself together and let himself collapse in jeongguk's arms. "w-why didn't you tell me, ggukie?" he sobbed, "why didn't you tell me about her?"
jeongguk wiped taehyung's tears off his cheek, "i-i'm sorry. i didn't tell you because i was scared."
"s-scared? scared of what?"
"scared of losing you again. she was the reason we broke up and i thought if you found out, you'd remember and break up with me. i thought i could just keep it hidden until i could convince the company to let her go," jeongguk sighed, "i'm sorry, taehyung."
"you're a dumbass."
"w-what?" jeongguk's voice broke as he let go of taehyung, tears building in his eyes.
"you thought i would break up with you, just because of that? you don't think i remember that moment clearly as if it was yesterday? i got back together with you because i'm confident in us. so what? we had a bad past but it's all behind us now. i love you and i know you love me so that's all that matters. if anything, not telling me made me think that you were cheating on me again!"
"i'm sorry, tae. i'm stupid. it's all my fault, forgive me?"
"of course, i forgive you. now, shut up and kiss me, idiot," taehyung said before jumping into jeongguk's arms, and connecting their lips as jeongguk lifted him off the ground.
