Legend holds that the mage will reveal himself again, first to the royals and then to all his people.
Until then, the few who chase after the mage's heart will be blessed and utilized to prepare the way for the mage's return. None have seen his face, but once every solar year he calls one into the castle to see the mage's reflection and receive wisdom and instruction to guide the people. This is the tradition of anointing new leaders into the hidden kingdom of clay. It is said that one of the anointed will be the path guide for one man of the mage to fulfill all the broken. They recount his story and the promise of the bloodline with the return of peace.
