Zelda spellman, had always been one to steal her friends warlocks and have thousands of stories about one night stands she'd had, but despite her love affairs, she craved something she could keep forever. Someone who she loved in return for their love. Zelda had aged, but it didn't show. She was still complete and utter perfection. When she left the house, men would stare in awe of her. Her younger sister, Hilda, was always at the book store with her fiancé Dr Cerberus, and though Zelda was happy for her sister, she envied the love and affection Hilda got from Dr Cee. All she wanted was that feeling of warmth and happiness that makes you go wobbly at the knees and sends tingles down your spine. She wished for a relationship that lasted longer than one night.

On this particular morning, Zelda was more awake than usual, and sensed that something peculiar was coming to her. Upon opening the paper, she discovered that Faustus Blackwood, one of the longer relationships she'd had, unexpectedly arrived in Greendale, looking for somebody whom had not been named. Though she was curious, the thought of her being the one he was looking for passed her mind. She lit her cigarette and ate a peace of toast, drenched in syrup, that Hilda had made her. Ambrose and Sabrina looked tired and suspicious, but when she asked them why they looked so secretive, they denied that they were hiding anything so she put it to the back of her mind and decided to figure it out later. She sipped some tea and got herself ready for the day. As Zelda walked down the stairs, she heard the distant sound of the phone ringing, followed by Hilda shouting 'I'll get it'. After Hilda put down the phone, Zelda asked whom was calling, only to find out that Lilith, the witch she'd had a secret desire for since she was young, had arrived in town and was coming to arrange a funeral on the following Wednesday. Zelda's hands grew sweaty and her heart felt as though it was ticking, waiting for something terrible to happen. It was almost as though her body knew that the coming weeks would be a rollercoaster of emotions for her.
