Prologue

Akatsuki base

In the Akatsuki base, all members were sleeping except for one Akasuna no Sasori. He was standing watch outside of the medical room which held their leaders wife and their yet to be born child. She was to give birth any day now and no one was taking any risks, so they decided to have her sleep in the medical ward for safety precautions.

And thank God for that too because not even an hour into the night an ear piercing scream echoed throughout the base, waking up everyone in a three mile radius, even if they were in a deep sleep.

Sasori jumped to his feet from the couch he was sitting on and into the room where Konan was laying down in, a pained expression on her face, covered in sweat and still screaming, almost to the point of bursting into tears. Sasori ran out of the room to get help from the doctors to help Konan.

Sasori ran until he bumped into the head doctor himself. He must have heard the scream because behind him were a few other nurses. As soon as the doctor saw Sasori he knew Konan was giving birth.

"Someone must go and wake up Leader-sama, Konan-sama is giving birth!" Said the head medic of the Akatsuki base; Dr. Sato, as he ran the way Sasori had just came so he could get to Konan.

"What? No, that can't be possible! She wasn't supposed to be due for another few days, maybe weeks!" Another nurse said as she stared on in horror.

"Well that's not what the baby said! Now go wake Pein-sama!" Yelled Dr. Sato, a second later the same nurse ran down the hallways of the Akatsuki base, trying to find Pein.

Within minutes a dark figure with fiery orange hair was walking briskly through the corridors of the base. Opening the door that lead to the living room were all of his subordinates were, looking extremely exhausted, half asleep on their feet. The man raised an eyebrow, silently asking them about what they were all doing there. However, before anyone could speak, another scream echoed throughout the base. Sighing, the man rubbed his fingers to his temple, sending chakra to soothe the on coming headache. At least now he knew why they were all here, who could sleep with such loud screaming?

The screaming only got louder when the door of which the screams originated from opened, revealing Dr. Sato who had sweat on his brow.

"Pein-sama, Konan is seconds away from beginning the process of giving birth. You need to be in there with her, she needs you."

Pein nodded his head and gave one last look to his members before her followed Dr. Sato, walking into the room where his wife was giving birth.

Several grueling hours later.

"Congratulations Konan-sama, it's a beautiful, healthy little girl." One of the maids spoke as she gave the tired looking woman her child.

"Look Pein, isn't she beautiful?" Questioned the woman as she stroked the baby's pink hair, although it was an odd color, though her and Pein didn't exactly have the most normal colors of hair either. "What should we name her?"
