Groaning I reached over and slammed off my alarm. Looking at my phone I realized it was already 7:50. "Fuck, Fuck, fuck." I sprang up and rushed into the bathroom quickly washing my shoulder length brown hair before turning off the water and wrapping myself in my white towel. As I walked back into my room, I looked around at all the boxes getting a nervous feeling in my stomach. Attempting to shake off any doubt I had about the upcoming day, I quickly got dressed in a solid black romper, throwing my hair up in a white scrunchie and sliding on my white high top converse, I looked in the mirror before deciding my outfit was acceptable for college move in day. After applying a quick coat of mascara and my favorite chapstick, I bounded down the stairs as the scent of bacon made its way into my room.
As I entered the kitchen I noticed both of my parents where already dressed and ready for the day. " Morning mom, dad," I said after kissing them both on the cheek and settling down at my designated spot at the kitchen table. My dad looked up from his crossword smiling, "today's the day honey, are you excited?" Pushing down the anxiousness from earlier, I nodded at him. Then my mom began harping on me making sure everything I needed was packed from textbooks to tampons. I lovingly rolled my eyes at her and assured her everything I would need was completely ready to be moved into my freshmen dorm at NYU. Living approximately 5 hours away my parents were extremely nervous but realized that in actuality it wouldn't be that far if anything happened. After finishing breakfast we packed up both my car and theirs and started towards NYU and hopefully the start of the best years of my life.
