After collecting my room key and assignment from the registration area I headed to my residence hall. Noticing the fact both boys and girls were moving into the building I noted it must be a coed building, one of the only ones on campus. Struggling to carry a box, I led my parents to room 111 and opened the door using my key. Upon entering I noticed that half the room was decorated in light pink and grey tones. Smiling I made my way to unoccupied right side of the dorm and began to unpack. Around two hours later I was unpacked and bidding my parents a goodbye from the curve as they drove both my car and theirs home. I know it seemed silly to not have a car when I live so far away but have you ever tried parking in New York? Talk about a living nightmare. After waving goodbye one last time I turned and went back inside my building.

Turning the corner to my room I ran straight into a wall. Well not a real wall but the human I ran into sure felt like one. Groaning I opened my eyes from the floor to reveal a very hot, but pissed off looking boy. Suddenly my nervousness reappeared as I began to fear confrontation already on my first day. Seeing the look on my face the boy's face flashed with something quickly replaced by a bored expression. Noticing he was not going to help me, like every other person from my high school didn't I simply got up brushed myself off and continued walking. Unfortunately, I realized the boy was moving in right across the hall. Glancing over my shoulder I noticed his glaring blue gaze had yet to focus on something other than me.

Gulping I quickly unlocked my door and quickly went inside, closing it behind me. " Uh, are you alright?" My head snapped to the left noticing a blonde girl sitting on pink bed. Feeling my cheeks heat up I replied, "yeah, I just ran into someone outside and felt super awkward about it because he was low key a jerk." She began laughing," I understand, I'm Tori and I guess you're my roommate.." She hesitated. I realized she didn't know my name and I quickly added, "Lily." Smiling at one another, we began small talk and discussing our room and how well it had turned out despite zero planning.

Looking at my phone I realized we had been talking for around two hours. Just as I realized this my stomach decided to make its hunger known by making a noise somewhere between a dying goat and a lion roaring. Tori began laughing at my blushing face, " do you wanna go grab something to eat, we can go to the café on campus?" Nodding at her I began slipping my converse on and we headed out into the unknown campus. At least I made one friend today, I thought to myself.
