Chapter 5: The fight

I woke up to a strange tapping noise at my window. "Jake!" I screamed and got up I looked out the window and saw that the tree branch was tapping the window. Why did I want him home so bad? His not coming home until tomorrow or the day after? He have me his number, maybe I should call him.

Ring ring

"Hello?" His voice sounded like he just woke up and it sounded so sexy

"Hey, it's Casey, you aske-" I didn't get to finish what I was saying "Casey! Hey beautiful, how are you?" He said in a happy but surprised tone "I'm good, I'm good. Um, when are you coming home?" I asked "ah, missing me already? Haha I'm coming home tomorrow" "don't get to cocky I just wanted to talk" I snapped back in a friendly tone "oh well then I'll be home soon. I'll see you soon bye beautiful".

Oh wow I get butterflies every time he calls me that. I got in the shower and turned on the water. The hot water is just magic, I washed my hair and body and got out, this time checking the window first. I got changed into a oversized white hoodie and trackies. I heard a knock at the door "I'll get it!" I yelled loud enough for the street to here. I opened the door and standing there with a big smile on there face and messy hair was.. Zara? " OMG Zara! what are you doing here!" I said in shock "mum said I could come down earlier we flew in early this morning" I jumped on Zara like a koala making her almost fall over " have you guys got somewhere to stay?" I said while dragging her inside " yeah we're staying with my boyfriend and his family" she looked at me smiling as if she was waiting for my reaction. "OMG boyfriend! Tell me all about him!" I said dragging her up stairs into my bedroom and siting her on the bed. "Well he's tall and he has amazing blue eyes and his hair smells like hazelnut and he's smile. Oh his smile is the best thing ever." Zara said as she fell onto her back. "I wish you could stay here. I would get to show you around" I said pouting and then giggling "I know I won't be to far away. I promise." I gave Zara a huge hug and waved good bye.

I woke up the next morning to a tapping on the window again. But this tapping was different, it sounded different, more, alive. I turned around to see Jake tapping on the window. "JAKE!" I jumped out of bed opening the window letting him in. "Oh wow, it is so cold out there" Jake said while rubbing his arms laughing "you idiot. Come down stairs for a hot chocolate or coffee" I said almost pulling him down stairs. I made two coffees and have him one. He took a sip and then looked up at me and smiled "what?" I said giggling "nothing.." He said taking another sip. " it's just.. This is where I fell in love with you" i almost spat out my coffee at what he had just said. "I'm sorry. What?" I couldn't believe what he had just told me. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to creep you out." He said with a sad look on his face "no, it's okay I just wasn't expecting it that's all." I looked at his smile widen when I said that. I grabbed his coffee out of his hand and hugged him. I could smell his cologne and then I smelled his hair. It smelled so nice it smelled like Nutella or.. Oh my god! I stepped back and walked straight up stairs. "Where are you going?" He had that sad look again "I think you should leave" I said heartlessly. I grabbed my phone. And texted Zara -

'We need to talk. Come over now.'

Zara: what's wrong <3 I'll be right over xx

Zara knocked at the door. I opened and dragged her inside I asked her to sit down. "Zara, what is your boyfriends name?" I asked as calmly as possible "um Jake. Why? What's going on please tell me" she said sitting up straight. oh god. Oh my god. "What's his last name?" I asked a little more impatiently "Casey, why are you asking me this?" She said sounding worried "JUST ANSWER THE QUESION! I'm sorry I didn't mean to shout" I said tapping my foot on the floor. "Holden!" Zara screamed with tears coming to her eyes. My world shattered. "I'll be right back don't move." I said getting up and leaving the house. I crossed the street and knocked on Jake's door. "Hey beautiful" he said leaning in for a hug. I put my hand on his chest to stop him "what the fuck is wrong with you?" "What do you mean?" He said looking confused and awkwardly putting his hands down. "You have a fucking girlfriend?" I said trying not to loose my shit. "What no I mean yes bu-" I walked away before he could finish. He followed me to my door and I opened it showing him Zara sitting on the couch. "Hey baby. How do you know Casey?" She said standing up walking toward us. "This isn't fair." He moaned "This isn't fair? This isn't fair? You leading me on while you have a girlfriend isn't fair to me and Zara!" I had lost my shit. "What?" Zara said standing there looking innocent and tears filling up her eyes. "Tell her Jake, go on tell her." I said standing back. "Tell her what? That you slept with me? He said looking at me with a smirk " Case? Is that true?" Zara said looking at me now with tears running down her face "I slept with you? That's bullshit! You were the one who kissed me. How was I supposed to know it was you?" I screamed at him totally ignoring Zara. Jake walks to the half way point of our houses "where do you think you are going?" I say following him and Zara following me like a lost puppy. We're now all standing in the middle of the street. Jake and I are arguing over the top of each-other "AHHHHHH!" Zara screams at the top of her lungs. Jake and I both look at each other and turn away and walk into our houses slamming the doors behind us. I go upstairs and see Zara sitting in the middle of the road curled up in a ball crying her eyes out. She probably didn't want to talk to me anymore. She gets up and wipes her tears and walks off.
